Great hiking area in Scottsdale. The Gateway Loop Trail is ideal because it is way from the city bustle. The 4.5 mile trail gains 655 feet in elevation so it’s a nice leisurely walk through the desert that loops around to your starting point. If you would like a little greater challenge, try Tom’s Thumb Hiking Trail with a 5.0 mile round trip. Beautiful scenery!
