I sometimes go running in Preston Park, which is only a 10 min walk away and Brighton's largest urban park. If you fancy a stroll or just a big space where to play ballgames that's where I would go!

Many times awarded the best breakfast in Brighton (my personal second favourite after Billie's). It does excellent hashes and English breakfasts. Informal and colourful setting. Book to avoid disappointment!

This gastro-pub, in my humble and French opinion, does the best food in Brighton (still within pub food price). It also has good selection of beers and wine. It is a small space, where it never fails to feel so mellow. People are very easy-going so it almost feels like being home. Would highly recommend. Book to avoid disappointment.

It is a small space, where it never fails to feel so mellow. People are very easy-going so it almost feels like being home. Would highly recommend. Book to avoid disappointment.
If you like Thai food, this is where you should head to! Family-run authentic Thai food- delicious, and it's BYO drinks!
The place is very nicely/ quirky decorated. Very popular with locals, but not so many tables, so you should book if you want to secure one.

Alistair has got his heart in Paris (he told me), but definitely the talent and creations are 100% made in Brighton.

I actually love the place), other less crafty, everyday coffee shops and cafes, a vegetarian cafe (the Almond Tree), a friendly Polish shop, some really good pubs and bars, a couple of nice boutiques/ gift shops, a handful of independent shops, edgy hairdressers, and the usual local amenities such as post office, a few corner shops, ...
