Recommended for fine weather days unless you are experienced in the mountains as the weather here can change rapidly. Prepare yourself by taking water, food and some warmer layers. Don't forget your camera!

This beautiful little lake is nestled in the hills on the way out to Mt. Aspiring National Park. The lake is a short uphill walk from the carpark, around 15-20 minutes. The hiking track that continues beyond Diamond Lake eventually ends you at the top of Rocky Mountain where you can enjoy a different perspective of Wanaka and Glendhu Bay. Around 2hrs to the top.
