Food Scene

Great Italian inspired food, great atmosphere, and literally everything on the menu here is good. Fancy wood fired pizza or delicious small plates. Don't hesitate on this one, just go.

Victrola and Milstead (in Fremont) are probably the two best coffee shops in Seattle. This is a small, homey Victrola, but the coffee is still excellent. Great quiet place to work or read a book.

You want delicious seafood served next to the water, and you're willing to pay a bit for it. Mid-to-pricey, the brunch here is amazing, and they have Adirondak chairs by the water.

Our local brewery, and the beer is actually really good too! They specialize in Belgian beers and many of them are pretty heavy, but just tell them what you like and they'll set you up. Atmosphere is amazing!!!

Parks & Nature

Just take a walk up here before you leave, ESPECIALLY if the weather is nice. You can see the Seattle skyline, the Olympic Mountains, and Puget sound. If you're so inclined, you can skate in the skate park, play tennis, hit golf balls at the driving range, or play on the playground!

It's not easy to get to, but you can spend hours hiking around here. This is probably Seattle's biggest park, and feels like you're deep in the woods in some places.

It's the beach! In Seattle! Seriously, there's sand! This odd little stretch of West Seattle looks and feels like a beach town. Great place for a stroll along the beach, and fantastic for biking. A great bike ride starts at Alki, follows the West Seattle coast, and ends at Lincoln Park, then loop back along California Ave for some great food/bars/etc.
