All just a half a street away from our condo....One of the first malls in Santo Domingo. Recently (2022) they have been restoring the mall to make it more modern and a choice of different stores to shop. Also it is the home for Supermercado National...one of the country's largest supermarket. Also on the third floor you will find a food court. You can chose from many type of restaurants....Dominican Food, Japanese, Chinese, Dominoes Pizza, Juice Bars, Ice cream parlors etc. Our personal favorite is Mama Mia. Great home made Dominican food with really great prices. Plaza Central also has a Money Exchange booth and also several banks.

Acropolis is a huge building located in the middle of one of the biggest anevues of the city, and here you can find a lot of stores, coffee shops, food court, large restaurants like outback and fridays and a large movie theater.

Acropolis is a huge building located in the middle of one of the biggest anevues of the city, and here you can find a lot of stores, coffee shops, food court, large restaurants like outback and fridays and a large movie theater.

Sit up front near the stage and you can experience Merengue típico (Perico ripiao), the oldest style of merengue still performed. The dancer are excellent and the dance is performed on a bottle. It's fun and you my even get asked to dance.

Plenty of things to see there....there are people selling anything from jewelry to paintings and you have some live entertainment as well. You can get a massage or braids put into your hair. The restaurant has workers monitor the vendors and make sure you are not pestered. But honestly we enjoyed the vendors and do buy from them as well. Parking is free but try to go early beause they do get full. It's a definitely a car or taxi ride to get to from the condo....Uber is the best choice!

Plenty of things to see there....there are people selling anything from jewelry to paintings and you have some live entertainment as well. You can get a massage or braids put into your hair. The restaurant has workers monitor the vendors and make sure you are not pestered. But honestly we enjoyed the vendors and do buy from them as well. Parking is free but try to go early beause they do get full. It's a definitely a car or taxi ride to get to from the condo....Uber is the best choice!

Zona Colonial was the first colonial city in the New World; it is only about eleven square blocks, making it possible to view the entire area in a single day. A multimillion-dollar renovation began in the 1970s in order to restore the historical buildings back to their original states. When touring this area, people will be able to see many architectural monuments, making it a great destination for those interested in architecture and history.

A beautiiful place to see all that nature has to offer in their natural habitat...this place is HUGE. The tree in this picture is a great prop for a photo shoot. We took the motorized train ride through the garden...was very interesting but I have to say our tour guide thought he was in the Indy 500 race....we held on for dear life. But we did have a good informative adventure.
