King Zvonimir in the year 1078 granted an estate in the Field of Kaštela to the convent of Benedictine nuns. A pre-Romanic church of St. Kuzma and Damjan was built there in the 12th century, over remains of an ancient necropolis and an early-Christian church (findings of early-Christian sarcophagi). The relics of St. Virgin Mary, St. Kuzma and Damjan, and the king Stephen of Hungay are kept there near a Roman villa rustica. An oak, over 700 years old, stands in front of the church, under which, according to the legend, Croatian king Zvonimir rested there once.

Only half an hour's drive from Split you can enjoy the picturesque nature, interesting tradition and delicious specialties: spend the day outdoors, at the source of a beautiful river.
The entire area of the source of the Hornbeam and its upper course is protected as a significant landscape. The source of the river, only two kilometers long, is accessed by a path along the right bank, along the edge of which are a mill and a beautiful stone bridge. The path takes visitors through a short canyon and goes through white-hornbeam forests with some oak, willow and apple trees. The river fork soon after the source forks and forms a pond adorned by several small waterfalls. In addition to natural beauty, there are famous and protected picturesque Grabske mlinice, a favorite picnic spot and an interesting reminder of the ancient way of life. Some of the mills, among which there are over five hundred years old, are still in operation today.
You can explore the gastronomic offers of the Trilj area, which include donuts, cheese from blackjack, frogs, crabs and trout, arambašići, rašćika and specialties under the baking lid, especially the young rooster, pulestar.
You can try them in the nearby restaurant Naše malo misto in Grab, in the restaurant Čaporice with a view of the Cetina or in the restaurant Premijer, which also offers dishes spiced with honey, dates, almonds, figs and spices used by the ancient Romans during their stay in the Trilj area.
