Great Japanese food with a large sake selection. A great date spot with tons of prepared items as well as excellent sushi, highly recommended! Open late and great for groups, but if you're looking for a quiet low key spot, it may not be the place for you.

Great food, inexpensive with good coffee and beer and wine. They have a good happy hour. The food is good, crepes, burgers and breakfast. Great to hang out and do some work or just grab a meal.

Really incredible, fine dining, California cuisine. The food is great and they're open late and have wonderful cocktails. But be prepared to wait and it's not cheap, but the place is gorgeous and the food, drinks and service are exceptional. Also they have incredible brunch on the weekend.

My favorite bar, it's right across the street, has a ton of beers on tap and friendly service, pool tables, fusbol and a jukebox. It can get pretty busy sometimes and keep in mind, it's cash only.

Alcatraz was an old prison, the site of the movie The Rock with tons of history, it's an incredible place to see. You have to take the ferry, make sure to book ahead of time, but absolutely worth doing and make sure to get the audio tour.
