Cumberland celebrates its coal mining past while embracing all that is hip and contemporary. History buffs will be keen to check out the Cumberland Museum and Archives or take a self-guided tour of Coal Creek Historic Park which includes the sites of the historic Chinatown and No. 1 Japanese Townsite. Work up an appetite on the expansive trail network, then let your taste buds explore the many culinary options this historic town has to offer: mouthwatering burritos and fabulous burgers to one-of-a-kind pizzas. Cumberland is home to numerous yearly festivals, some of the island's best mountain biking, and easy lake access, which has in turn solidified its status as an outdoor recreational mecca.

Great breakfast spot with an outdoor patio during the summer. My favourite is the Atlas, a salmon lox bennie, but all breakfast/brunch options are great. Lunch and Dinner here are always a solid choice as well.

We've been to Martine's serveral times, and each time, we had great food and service! The clams are done to perfection. The main dishes are always good, and the dessert is the best! I highly recommend Martine's.
