Numerous things to see and do in Southwold. Visit the Adnams Brewery, go up the lighthouse, see the coloured beach huts, walk along the Historic Pier, eat or drink at any one of the numerous eating places there.

Food scene

Woodbridge is set on the River Deben and is barely 5 mins drive from the House. Has a very "Oldy Worldy" Main High Street called "The Throughfare". Lots of places to eat and drink at. In fact, it has a ridiculous amount of pubs for its size. Excellent nightlife, particularly for the over 40s.

City/town information

Pettistree was originally a settlement built around a very large tree (I think it may have been a Beech Tree). The locals worshipped the Tree. As Christianity spread through Suffolk, the tree was renamed St Peter's Tree. This is how the village got its name of Pettistree. Pettistree is also home to The Greyhound Pub which is thought to be the oldest Pub in Suffolk (possibly England). It is a lovely Old English Pub with a roaring fire in the Winter and a wide and diverse menu, book ahead if plannign to dine there as it gets booked out very quickly.
