Situated 20mins from the house on the Wicklow way. 1.8km hike to the top from the car park. Terrain is not difficult but gradient can be steep in parts. Medium difficulty

Great view of the lake from viewing point. Two good hikes from the car park on the gap road. Blackhill and Sorell Hill. Sorrell is the shorter and steeper of the two. Blackhill had stone path 90% of the way be sure to go the the lakeside of the peak to get the best view of the lake.

Would reccomend a tour of the house or a visit to the falconry or blacksmiths within the grounds (needs to be booked in advance). There is also a nice walk around the grounds and a good playground for kids at the back of the house.

Nice walk on the road to Ballyknockan 2.5km away. There is a picnic area just before the village and Cullens bar also has a good view of the lake.
