Entering this majestic church is like walking into 1886, as little has changed since it first opened its doors.

Two French architects built the Hanoi Opera House in 10 years since 1911. The magnificent building became one of the top landmarks in Hanoi. The Opera House hosts cultural, entertaining performances, bamboo cirque, contemporary dance, orchestra concerts, and government events. Come to the front gate to check availability and get a ticket to a version in this iconic building.

A few minutes away from the Hanoi Opera House, you will reach the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, formerly known as the Indochina Medicine School, was established by decree of the French government signed by Indochina General Governor Paul Doumer on 8 January 1902. And it is one of the oldest universities in Vietnam. You will love the combination of Vietnamese and French Architecture. And this is where I spent 5 years getting my degree as a pharmacist.

If you love learning about history and culture, this is a beautiful and very interesting place. A wonderful insight into an old and rich culture. It is great to see students coming here praying and hoping for some luck to support their studies. The Temple of Literature also has plenty of shade and beautiful gardens to escape the heat.

Built with inspiration from the curves of pottery wheels, the Bat Trang Pottery Museum is becoming a new destination for locals as well as travelers. The museum has three exhibition floors. But my favorite is the top one. You'll have a chance to see the amazing artworks made by Vietnamese artists while enjoying a cup of tea. Just make sure you try to make your own ceramic cup/glass on the ground floor.
