St Dyfnog was a 6th Century Celtic saint who discovered the sacred well as shown in the photograph. It can be found alongside a footpath that runs behind the church, that is said to have consequently been built with money from the pilgrims who visited the well. Known for its curative powers , most particularly for arthritis and skin disorders, it's recognised as one of the many holy wells in Wales, and a gem of a find just a few minutes drive away. The church itself is a splendid building , most recognised for its stunning Jesse window that was completed in 1533, and a must see for those interested in architectural history.
