There is also a ton to do downtown Portland, but those things are much easier to learn about...if you want to stay closer to home & explore the east side of the river, you'll find lots of great things to do!

Much to see & do beyond NE Portland!
While we are partial to our neighborhood and Portland’s East side in particular, exploring the city’s center downtown is a must & is an easy bus or light rail ride away. Walk the boardwalk along the Willamette River, shop the eclectic local Saturday Market, explore Chinatown, eat at any of the amazing restaurants in the Pearl District, get lost in Portland’s famous Powell’s Books, visit the art museum, and trek up to Washington Park & wander the Oregon Zoo, the Hoyt Arboretum, the Japanese Gardens, the International Rose Gardens, and the 15 miles of forested trails surrounding it all.
