If you go south toward 125th St (just one subway stop on the A or the D lines) you will be in the center of Harlem’s historic area where you’ll find the Apollo theater and other mainstays of African American cultural life, as well as lots of shopping. 42nd St/Times Square is just three stops away on the A train a block from our apartment.
