Famous for its line up of art galleries This street also has a couple of eclectic, (and, pricey!) restaurants. My favorite is El Farol, a bar and restaurant, which specializes in spanish tapas ('small dishes'). They might have live music on certain nights.

Because it is all about the work of our own, famous icon, Georgia! If you have time for a drive, I highly recommend the drive to Abiquiu, about 45 mins north, from Santa Fe. You can visit the house -now a museum, where Georgia lived, and the surrounding mesas where she painted is a nice day trip. A cafe is on the grounds, also.

Sightseeing

It is called the 'Lourdes of the West'. During Easter week, hundreds of people, many with ailments wanting to be cured, make a pilgrimage walk from Santa Fe to the sanctuary (sanctuary/church) every year. Many claimed to have been healed by their faith in its power to heal. Excellent tamales are sold in a little store front adjacent to the sanctuary.
