Beautiful view along the river bank if descending to Jyrhämänranta from Jorma Eton tie. Follow the trail to find a free fireplace with woods ready with a stunning lake view. Nice place to meet other people as well!
At night time there's no street lamps all the time so take my flashlight with you!

Take your sausages, marshmallows and drinks and walk up to find a open fireplace with woods ready for you to burn. Climb up to watchtower to see Rovaniemi view! If going there during the nights take also some flashlights since road there is bit rough but great place to see northern lights!!!

If don't feel like sliding down, walk along Hiihtomajantie to Sky Hotel to enjoy skiers view, that is the place where slope lift ends.

Rovaniemi is home of Santa Claus!
You can easily reach there from my home with bus no 5, adult's return ticket is 7,20€. There's a free of charge change in city center (Ruokasenkatu) where you change from bus no 5 to bus no 8 that is Santa Claus express! Just remember to advice driver you are heading to see Santa Claus and about to change the bus. They are accustomed to that and will help you further. I will have timetables printed for you too!

You can easily reach there from my home with bus no 5, adult's return ticket is 7,20€. There's a free of charge change in city center (Ruokasenkatu) where you change from bus no 5 to bus no 8 that is Santa Claus express! Just remember to advice driver you are heading to see Santa Claus and about to change the bus. They are accustomed to that and will help you further. I will have timetables printed for you too!

From train station you can walk to city center, or take a bus or a taxi to go further. If taking a bus, you are allowed to change the bus to another in city center area for free of charge during 1 hour. If in doubt, just ask the driver for advice or give the name of your destination. When arriving with plane, there are Airport buses waiting out side the station. Just tell them your destination and they will take you there! Prices are 10-12 euros / adult.
If you are 4 or more, it will be cheaper and faster if you take a taxi. There should be some waiting as well, they are aware of flight schedules and will come just in case. If there's none, ask personnel from station to call you one!
