Award winning children's playground, in one corner of Royal Park, the largest open space near our place. Royal Park is used by joggers and walkers (including dog walkers). It also has a wetland.

The fairy/little penguins come in to their colony (beyond the kiosk at the end the St Kilda Pier) every night shortly after sunset. They come every night, but there are fewer in winter. See stkildapenguins.com.au
Get off a St Kilda tram (16 or 96, or 3a at the weekends) at Stop 135 (at the end of Fitzroy St) or 136 (round the corner on The Esplanade). Viewing is free, but you can make a donation to support protection of the penguins.

Walk through the Treausury Gardens, checking out statues and features on your way past the Treasury Building to the Treasury Gardens. The Conservatory is just across the road that divides the two Gardens.
