“The Argyle is situated in The Rocks, in one of Australia’s oldest buildings . The venue has a rich historic feel, with a uniquely modern take. Housed in the 1820s Argyle Stores building in the heart of Sydney’s Rocks precinct, The Argyle retains much of the original heritage-listed structure.Blending an alluring mix of historic and ultra-modern, The Argyle is an impressive space featuring high archway entrances, a sandstone outdoor courtyard and sleek timber flooring and beams.”

Pub

“Affordable rooftop bar with stunning view of Sydney Opera House. It is one of the last surviving pre- Harbour Bridge buildings on Cumberland Street, north of the Cahill Expressway. The site is known to have been occupied from the early years of 1800, although it is likely that, like the other ridges of The Rocks, it was occupied by the encampment of settlers in the first weeks of the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788.”

Bar de cocteles

“This tiny bar is accessed through an unmarked door next to the restaurant Tapavino. Head upstairs and you’ll be welcomed with super-friendly service. The team here makes a new cocktail menu each day, written on butcher paper and taped to the wall. Drinks are themed around whatever seasonal produce is available at the farmers’ market. Ask for a tequila cocktail called Señor Spicy Pants. They change their list daily, but this is by far one of the greatest drinks to have ever graced the menu. Star bartender Tim Philips will mix it up right.”

“10min walk from our townhouse. The 36th floor of the Shangri-La Hotel isn’t cheap, but the panoramic vistas over Sydney are worth every cent. There’s a long menu of signature drinks on the sophisticated cocktail list curated by a team of talented mixologists. ”
