Welcome to Austin's #1 booked tour! I can say with confidence this is the best group on the water. March 5th Update: The bats are back and they've been amazing. Come see for yourself! Let's meet up for an epic night of kayaking. It's 4 incredible trips in one. 1st you paddle the length of downtown during the day and then we catch the sunset over the water. The bats are the main event and we end with downtown paddle at night! Add in a full moon or bright stars occasionally and this trip is one not to miss! If trip is sold out, ask if I can fit you in. We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of homemade wine from our organic orchard, wildcrafted herbal tea, and/or fruit-infused spring water from our bar before we get started. Once everyone is settled with a beverage, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session. For those who are interested, you will also have an opportunity to tour our urban homestead and be immersed in the many endeavors we have going. Other things to note: -We have free-range chickens and 2 outdoor farm cats. Imagine floating thru the epic canyons of the Rio Grande on a full day, fully guided, fully equipped trip. The Rio is mostly flat water for a scenic adventure. The river has class I rapids that is perfect for our first timers. Come learn and/or work on your boating skills. The water levels fluctuate and can influence what boats we take: rafts (we can row you down the river or everyone paddles), canoes, or kayaks. Throughout the winter season, the river is usually not more than thigh deep. Riding in a raft with all your favorite people makes for some fun pictures. We can row you down the river in a raft or if you/some/all want to paddle raft that is a great option too. At lower water levels we like to canoe and kayak. The canoes are 2 seaters with the option to ride smaller kids in the middle. The kayaks are single or tandem sit in or sit on top and are totally lots of fun. Weather also can influence what the choice boat would be. We meet up in the morning and then drive down to the river. Included is all gear and dry bags. Please bring your own food and beverages. A cooler to put your lunch in and ice water is provided. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Other things to note We will meet at 9 a.m. central time (check your clock) at the office of Big Bend Boating & Hiking Company. Message us if you want to book a kids experience. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap. Other things to note Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

There will be plenty of time to soak up the sun, enjoy local wildlife, and, of course, have a little party on the water. BYOB, so bring along your favorite beers and seltzers (NO GLASS CONTAINERS, please!), and leave the rest up to us. We'll have a small cooler for everyone to share. Join our Custom Candle Making Experience in Dallas, TX! Hosted by clean, coastal-inspired fragrance company, Malibu Apothecary, guests can either participate in a group or private experience (contact us) to create a custom scented candle with their own personalized label! Create your own bespoke signature scent while learning the basics of fragrance composition. Choose your favorite jar color to pour your custom scent & 8oz of all-natural wax! (~1hr) While the candles cure (1-1.5hr), enjoy complimentary refreshments and light appetizers (BYOB welcome) as we explain the differences between clean & toxic fragrances with a brief history of perfumery. This is the perfect time to mingle with your group, enjoy snacks and drinks, board games, and design a personalized label on-site with your own photo, logo, etc.! Join us for the largest & most fun group bicycle ride in the metroplex known as Critical Mass. Critical Mass is held on the last Friday of every month in most major cities around the U.S. We will provide you a bicycle rentals for this event & you will ride with us as your guide in this super fun mass bike ride.

Guests will enjoy an experience on our small, family-run hobby farm. They will have the opportunity to cuddle with our goats, pet our miniature cows, get up close and personal with our friendly turkey, and take in the beautiful scenery of our farm. The first portion of the tour is guided animal interactions, but then guests are able to wander and take in the beauty of the property, enjoy their own picnic lunch, or fish in our catch-and-release pond!

We'll make 2 Japanese rolls per person. One California roll with crab meat and avocado and shrimp tempura roll with avocado and yellow radish. ---Please note, we do not serve raw fish. You'll be guided in our design studio through the process of designing your own t-shirt with user friendly software, digital cutting machines and heat presses to design the t-shirt of your dreams. Each step in the process allows you to gain a new skill in creating your own product. We will provide the t-shirt, vinyl and all equipment needed to accomplish the project. Other things to note While we encourage creative ideas, profanity and offensive language in the studio or in your design is not acceptable. Great for small group team building and bonding.

Take a stroll through the beautiful Galveston Historic Cemetery District with the author of "Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries." This tour has been featured on multiple TV shows and in magazine and newspaper features. We'll meet in the Historic Broadway Cemetery District, where I'll introduce you to some of Galveston's past citizens, from heroes to villains, notorious to noteworthy. On our tour we'll concentrate on one of the seven cemeteries in the complex that features some of the most beautiful statuary and fascinating history of its era. There's something here for everyone: stunning artwork, hidden symbolism, Civil War history, surprising trivia and even one resident ghost. Other things to note: Uneven walking paths. At Southern Trails you will enjoy a genuine Texas experience! There's no better way to explore Central Texas than on horseback. Misti and I will take you on a scenic, guided horseback ride, show you the reins, and ensure you have a fun experience. First, we will pair you with one of our highly trained and lovable horses! (Whiskey, Bear, Mississippi, Comanche, or Dolly!). Next, we will have a brief lesson where you will learn to stop, turn and ride the proper way on the trails. Then we will head out and take an hour trail ride through the beautiful Texas countryside. We will ride through trees, up hills, down hills. We will pass some creeks and ponds and even some cows that free graze on the property! An interesting fact about This ranch is that it was a shooting location for the famous western movie…Lonesome Dove! We will stop to take a couple pictures along the way! If you have younger children please call and ask about "Little Dude Ride." It is perfect for kids and families that aren’t quite ready for the hour trail ride. Ready to shape your own cup? Join us for a two hour pottery experience and learn your way around the potter's wheel as your shape your own unique bowls, cups and vases with the help of your host. In this experience, you will shape 2 to 3 pieces. Want to do it with some friends? We can take up to 8 people at a time. After shaping your items, you will choose the color you want them finished in and we will ship them to you when they have gone through the firing process. Firing and shipping are included in the cost of the experience.

This ghost story walking tour experience happens under the cover of darkness through the beautiful streets and haunted buildings of downtown Austin. Expert storytellers, exclusive access to one of Austins most haunted taverns, spine chilling tales in the lobby of the legendary Driskill Hotel, paranormal photographs that need to be seen to be believed. *Message us for alternative times. We are flexible! * Your West Texas Ranch Tour will begin upon arrival at the main house. You will be given a 15 minute overview of the 300 acre property, its history and its current uses. We will also use this time to identify your specific interests and then will adjust how the rest of the time is spent accordingly. Such interests may include: 1) Demonstrations of a working Texas windmill 2) Learning about West Texas plants, topography and rocks, 3) Crop and rangeland management, or 4) Interacting with chickens and other livestock, including domestic mules and donkeys. After the 15 minute overview, we will then depart the main house on a UTV cart for the rest of your tour. The highlight of the visit to the ranch for many guests is learning about the care of the more than 80 donkeys on site. Additionally, many birdwatchers enjoying catching glimpses of numerous bird species that are found on both the creek that winds through the property as well as the birds that inhabit the rest of the ranch. Numerous birds of prey call the Chaos Ranch home. You may also catch a glimpse of armadillos, deer, and jackrabbits. While we do not permit interaction with wildlife on the ranch, you can enjoy watching them from the cart. There are many photo opportunities, and guests enjoy getting away from the city and being in nature for a few hours.

Our family fell in love with goats in early 2020 during the Covid lockdown. Raising baby goats has now become a lifestyle for us. Yes, we always have baby goats! This experience allows you to be hands on with the youngest babies and learn about them. You can also meet the mommies and the bucks. When you arrive, we will take a couple of minutes to introduce ourselves and our animals. We will then jump right in to it and introduce you to our cute baby goats. You can pet, hold, or cuddle them as you wish and feed them treats. While you play, we will tell you a bit about each one of them, and their personalities (yes, each goat has a different personality, and likes and dislikes). We will let you spend some time with our goats and be available to answer questions or share knowledge. Be ready to meet some tiny goats! Our goats are all very friendly and clean.
