This is a small space, built under Historic Preservation rules by a National Geographic photographer, who used it as an office. It's somewhat bigger than a "tiny house," such as is in vogue these days. The oak floors and in-floor radiant heat make it very cozy and memorable.

You have use of the entire house, the small fenced yard, the deck, and the (very tight) parking space in front of the gate.

My phone number on the keys I left for you, should you need assistance or recommendations.

You are staying in Aspen's historic West End, which is now an enclave of very swell homes. The Aspen Historical Society—a beautiful property— is just in the next block. Just a few blocks away and easy walking distance is the Music Tent and Harris Hall. You can catch inbound and outbound buses on the next block over, on Main St. The Hickory House is on the next block—voted Aspen's favorite breakfast and rib joint.

Parking in Aspen is well, not fun—try to avoid it. You have a guest parking pass, however, for use on streets adjacent to the Carriage House. Free buses take you to town and as far as Snowmass Village. There's also a free electric on-demand shuttle. All four ski hills are on free bus routes. Excellent road and mountain-biking is accessible from your front door.
(If you brought a bike, chain it to the balustrade by the front door. Bikes left in Aspen alleys are considered up for grabs.)

My wife and I are nice people. I never heard of anybody as nice. We could be nicer I guess, but I'm not sure how—suggestions? I like Bluegrass, swing, jazz, any music that originates in New Orleans, and of course, America's musical comfort food, the funky, funky blues. Thank you for considering our little house. We live there 6 months a year—we like it fine.
