This cozy cottage is nestled on 4 1/2 acres of beautiful second growth redwoods just outside the town of Trinidad. It has a small sleeping loft with a queen size bed that is accessed with a ladder. There is also a very comfortable full size futon that can act as another bed. It is a small and simple cabin with all the basics needed to cook. The cabin's main heat source is a pellet stove. WIFI service is available, sorry there is no tv/entertainment center, so bring your laptop if you want to.
This 460 square foot cabin is next door to our home where we live with 3 ducks, 3 chickens, a bunny, and our newest addition is Jedryk, our baby boy! Our friendly ducks and chickens roam the property and wander around the cottage frequently. Our home is close by, but there is a privacy fence separating the two, making it feel vary private. Behind the fence is your own sunny front porch and outdoor table with two chairs. There is a back porch with a bench overlooking the forest. A small Weber barBQ is also available (bring your own charcoal) as well as an outdoor fire pit. The cabin has its own off street parking with room for a trailer.

I like to describe myself as a Humboldt County transplant with deep roots. My parents were born and raised in the area and I have a huge family that has lived in the area for generations. I grew up in CO and UT and moved to Eureka, CA with my mom in 1998. Trinidad has been my hometown for 15 + years. I met my partner, Carl, 8 years ago. We are both Humboldt State University graduates. I majored in Recreation and minored in Business with an emphasis on ecotourism. Needless to say, I work hard and play hard. I love gardening, making friends with medicinal plants and foraging for wild foods like mushrooms and seaweed. My newest passion is being a mama! Our baby boy, Jedryk was born in May.
I am the host of two different properties in Trinidad, CA: Popeye's Cottage in the Redwoods which is next door to my home and Fern Alley, an apartment in a building I am part owner of, located in downtown Trinidad.
I love to travel but I aways look forward to coming home. To me, Trinidad is paradise! I truly enjoy sharing my neck of the woods with people from all over the world!
