Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Came down for two nights and it was so peaceful and charming that we stayed for three. Juliet was really helpful throughout, the well stocked kitchen was a pleasant suprise and made the stay a dream, and waking up in that beautiful secluded little space with the birds singing was such a welcome break from out London home. The whole space felt very private and you can really relax there. It's not the easiest place to find, but Juliet's instructions were very helpful. We will definitely stay again if we're around the area Thanks Juliet!

Very cosy secluded shepherds hut with a stunning view over the valley. The hot tub takes a few hours to warm up which is to be expected, but once warm it's absolutely perfect to relax in for the evening. While small, the shepards hut has everything you need for a quiet weekend away and the bed is warm and comfortable. Local towns are a twenty minute drive away so close enough to find somewhere for food or supplies, but you're in the sticks enough that we didn't see anyone other than the farmer on the other side of the valley.

Amazingly beautiful location, it felt so peaceful! The accommodation was perfect, they have clearly put a lot of thought into what you'll need and how you'll use the place. The alpacas are fabulous! They are so fun to feed! Thank you so much for an awesome stay x

This is one of the most beautiful, idylic places I have stayed in. The incredible views, the privacy, and the beautiful cabin itself were all perfect. Lucy is such a lovely host, and you can tell the care and thought involved in making the stay special, from the little treats and prosecco on arrival, to the welcome message and the fantastic communication. Everything was honestly amazing, I'd recommend Rosies Retreat to anyone and I'll absolutely be back!

An ideally located cabin with beautiful surroundings it was so peaceful and tranquil we couldn't of asked for any more the cabin was spotlessly clean and very well equipped just sitting in the hot tub with a drink watching the sun set was amazing we will definatly be going back

Had an amazing few days as Diddylake, it was so charming and peaceful, would highly recommend for anyone hoping to have a peaceful getaway and disconnect from the outside world.

Great place to get away from it all, with easy distance from Dartmoor and other surrounding walks. The area is great for dogs to play around. Our dog is very anxious so was great to have his own little area to run around in! The hut itself is cosy, with everything we needed. Even staying in February the hut was warm and shower was perfect and hot. Great after a cold walk.

Exactly as advertised - beautiful little cabin in a gorgeous part of Cornwall. Spotlessly clean, nice bathroom facilities and lots of useful information about the local area thoughtfully provided by host.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Zena has thought of everything you could need for any eventuality. The little hut is full of anything you might possibly need. Was spotlessly clean. Zena messaged before giving clear directions and we found with no issues. Lovely grounds to walk around. Pictures don’t do it justice. Highly recommend. We will definitely visit again for longer. Thank you Zena for such a beautiful short stay.

Had an absolutely lovely two nights at the shepherds hut. The location is very private and peaceful, and the hut is surprisingly spacious and modern. Really gorgeous place to stay. Hopefully will come and stay again in the future!

Loved our stay in the shepherd’s hut. It’s cosy and had everything we needed! The interior has been finished to a high standard and is all kept pristine. Highly recommend staying here, my family and I are hoping to be back in the future.

The hut was exactly as described and pictured on the page, i.e. absolutely lovely. Our favourite moments were watching the sunset through the porthole-style window and sitting by the fire pit watching the stars in the garden. The only point to be aware of is that the kitchen and bathroom sinks didn’t have an option for hot water. This was fine for us in the warm spring weather, but it wasn’t ideal for washing up and wouldn’t be as nice in the winter. The shower was lovely and warm though. Overall, the hut would be perfect for anyone wanting to have a relaxing, private and peaceful break. Jon and Laura were also really informative, responsive and friendly hosts, who were very accommodating when allowing us to check in early. We will definitely come again!

The shepherd’s hut is such a gorgeous little place to stay. It is kitted out really well and the view from the terrace is stunning. The wood burner keeps you warm and the bed is surprisingly comfortable! Will definitely be back the next time we want to go to Woods in Dulverton.

…as far as little gems go - this is such a find!

We had a lovely, short break at Tressa. The hut was lovely and cosy with everything we needed and was in a great location, close to the beaches and a short drive to Padstow. Andrea and Tom were very welcoming and helpful and we hope to return for another stay before long.

We had the most relaxing stay at The Robins Nest. Situated in a lovely rural location with views for days! The hot tub is such a fantastic addition, especially for my parter who is recovering from a medical incident - it acted as form of relaxing hydrotherapy! The decor is beautiful and you can tell every last detail has been thought through. The bed is very comfortable and we both slept really well. The cows in the field opposite are so funny!! Kerry and Colin were extremely hospitable and quick to top up extra wood when requested. We are already talking about booking again for next year☺️

We absolutely loved our 4 day stay at the Little Charred Hut, the location is idyllic right in the middle of the woods, near to a babbling brook, it's completely private with no neighbours or passing traffic, just the sound of the birds! The Hut itself has everything you need, it's very cosy with an extensive verandah (with 2 comfy rocking chairs) giving a feel of more sheltered space, which was great as the weather wasn't perfect the whole time. The surrounding area is so beautiful, and an easy drive away from so many beautiful places to explore. We'd highly recommend this gorgeous little place for an intimate stay in the midst of nature.

We had a beautiful bank holiday weekend stay at the shepherds hut. It is exactly as described and in a great location. We went on some really lovely walks with the dog. Danielle was a great host, easy to contact and quick to respond. She also provided lots of different walks to go on and places to go, however after our walk we just enjoyed chilling out at the hut for the rest of the day as it was so nice and private and surrounded by a lovely woodland which our dog loved and the hot tub was a great addition that us humans loved. We would definitely stay again and hopefully will very soon.
