Gorgeous setting, really lovely staff. Room differed slightly from the photos- it showed a roll top bath which we didn't have but it was still lovely and very clean. The room didn't seem to have a hair dryer so had to borrow one from reception but overall a lovely stay and a very nice meal in the restaurant.

Spinnaker Lodge was absolutely beautiful and definitely had the ‘wow’ factor as we walked in, to find that we were overlooking the stunning lake. The bedrooms were gorgeous with colour coordinated beddiknkg and very comfortable. The kitchen could have done with a few more knives and forks as there were six of us but other than that, a stunning property. We will be back!!!!

A lovely room in a friendly and welcoming village pub. Check in was easy and I felt at home straight away. The surrounding area is really nice with plenty to explore.

I have visited the pub a couple of times before but this is the first time I have stayed at Alma Tavern. I stayed in Room 1 which was clean, warm and quiet. All the bar staff were friendly and gave clear instructions on how to check in (both while the pub was open and closed) and where to leave the key on check out. The communal breakfast area is a nice touch and it was nice to have cold milk and a bottle of cold water. Although the windows overlook a road, I found it quiet and no problem at all. One other guest commented on it being a good idea to look past the initial staircase to the rooms and I agree, I guess it could do with a lick of paint but the room itself and the location of the pub mean I will be looking to book again soon. Just in case it is of interest, parking on Alma Vale Road is free from 5pm to 9am and then you can park for 3 hours using RingGo or just pay at the machine. I arrived at 4, paid for one hour, then just set RingGo to cover the car from 9 to midday.

The house is perfectly located for walks, restaurants and activities. Lovely view across the lake.

I stayed in this peaceful country property for a few days and it was exactly what I needed. The space was perfect for catching up on work too, with a calm atmosphere that helped me focus. Judith was absolutely wonderful—warm, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. She made sure everything was just right and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone needing a restful escape. Great wifi, facilities, easy parking, quiet location, close drive to local nearby towns.

we had a lovely comfortable stay,there was everything we needed,the room was bright and relaxing,it was easy to park our car and Sue was very helpful when arranging an early check in.
