Exclusive 3 bedroom detached home with garden
Situated in the lovely village of Portinscale this warm detached family home provides everything you might want to enjoy a stay in the Lake District. We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

Comfortable, peaceful cottage
Well equipped cottage. Comfortable, private, peaceful. There's a very comfortable double bed in the bedroom, and a quality sofa bed in the living room (please request additional bedding, £10). The kitchen is fully equipped, including a 6kg washer/dryer. Off-road parking outside the cottage. Secure bike storage - just ask! No beams or open fires. Just clean, comfortable, with everything needed for a peaceful stay. Please note, there is a bath with shower over - not a cubicle with power-shower.

The Place is an exceptional 17th Century farmhouse cottage with stunning lake views, at the head of Loweswater in the beautiful, quiet Western Lake District. Full of charming original features, modernised conveniently, and gracefully furnished, it is a delight to come home to. 4 bedrooms, 1 bed and shower room on the ground floor, make it suitable for a maximum of 8 people and 1 dog, but cosy for smaller groups or a couple as well. The pretty garden includes a Games Barn & Garden Studio.

A bus service runs through the village daily which will link you to Carlisle and West Cumbria including the Lakes. You'll find a shop 2.3 miles and a pub just 50 yards.
