We had a great time in Whanganui with lots to do over the school hols. While we weren’t in the house very much, it was comfortable and very well appointed for our group from 11 to 82! The backyard and games room are excellent for families.

We had a lovely time staying at Jess's place. We really loved the style of the house and the art throughout, Jess also has an amazing selection of art and design books. It had everything we needed and more. We had a very peaceful comfortable stay. Thanks Jess!

Excellent home for a large group, the view was amazing looking out at the whanganui river, very sunny. Had all the amenities and extras too, it was a well equiped home. Will definitely go and stay again. Peter was fantastic around the communications. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

This is our second time staying here. We had a wonderfully relaxing week enjoying the peace and quiet with wonderful scenery. Highly recommend!

This house was perfect for our family group of 9 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking large meals, and it was great having two full bathrooms. The fire and some heaters kept us warm at night.

One of the highlights was the beautiful walk nearby, which offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel magical. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee outside or taking in the scenery during a stroll, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

The place is really nice, quiet and we loved the little fireplace - we wanted a place where we can relax and disconnect and that was perfect. It is quite hard in NZ to get a place where dogs are allowed and being able to go on holidays with them was a ++++.

A great spot. Walking distance to the beautiful lake and gardens. The place was very tidy with beautiful decor, comfortable beds and a beautiful bathroom. Private with a seperate entrance except just one bathroom. Also no running water in the kitchen which I assume is work in progress. Jude was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely could return.

Like Philippa stated when villa finishes renovation it definitely looks grand and posh. But still loved interiors tastefully decorated furniture and personal touches. All of us enjoyed something different than normal air b&b experience. Thanks

Great family week in Whanganui. Our place was amazing, comfortable, great vibe, relaxing, loved the pool and deck with outdoor bath. Wished we could stay longer. Ken and Jess so helpful and responsive, very friendly. Would love to stay there again.

myself and grandchildren loved Cecile's place..homely and has everything our lil family needed even the extras of brekky stuff, spreads, bread, milk ..truly appreciated when showing up with X4 young children ..We had a dip in pool abit cool at this time of year but refreshing ..

Grant's place was perfect for our three generations to stay in while we were in Palmerston North for our daughter's graduation. It was clean, roomy, private and secure. Grant's communication was great with clear instructions and he responded quickly to our messages. I would thoroughly recommend staying here, especially if you are a big group.

Een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Een heerlijke plek om tot rust te komen. Er is veel te doen in de omgeving en ligt ook goed kwa winkels etc. We hadden goed contact met de eigenaar en was er behulpzaam. Bedankt voor het verblijf.

My motorcycle got cancelled on me so Plan B came into effect. This property is exactly what I needed after I rode my motorcycle to Palmerston North. Great Host, lovely garden with your own reading/coffee nook. The room had everything you needed with a lovely selection of tea/coffee beverages, snacks that I truly appreciated after my ride. I felt at home and I was completely relaxed feet up and enjoyed the company of the dogs and chooks. Thanks team I would definitely rebook.

We had a lovely stay at Danni and Rod's place. The cottage is super cute and is in a great location, near the old town and in walking distance to some beautiful trails. Kids loved having the big backyard to explore! Thanks for a great stay 😊

We absolutely loved the location, farm setting and peaceful and quiet relaxing atmosphere. The area has great little day excursions, an added Anzac Day bonus for us in Pongaroa. Perfect couple of days.

We stayed here with 12 friends for my husband’s 30th, and it was absolutely perfect. He loves native bush and birds, so this place was a dream. The house feels like a fairytale—spacious, warm, and beautifully designed. The kitchen is well-equipped and flows easily to the patio, where we barbecued and dined outdoors. There’s a handy kitchen window for passing food outside, and both indoor and outdoor tables made it easy to adapt to the weather. The property sits on 7 acres of native bush with walking tracks, birds like piwakawakas following us, and a magical glow worm walk at night. There's an outdoor fire area with couches, ambient lighting, and a speaker system that connects throughout the house and outside. It’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and nature. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and so grateful. Huge thanks to the hosts for the clear communication and thoughtful touches. If you're thinking of booking—do it. You won’t regret it.

Great home for families with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The living space was very comfortable, and the addition of a range of family boardgames was great. The home is set in a quiet tranquil area overlooking forest/bush which provided lovely walks. Easy 10mins walk to Carrotland which is an an awesome adventure playground and activity area with pump track, bike tracks, playground etc. Our 7yr old loved it. We had some issues with running water when we arrived but Charlotte was super responsive and helpful and it was all resolved within an hour...and Charlotte provided a wee gift basket (nibbles and wine) in acknowledgement of our being slightly put out. Charlotte was very thoughtful and responsive in managing the whole issue. We will absolutely stay again. It was a lovely comfortable home.
