These cozy Coastguard Cottages have a rich history. Built in 1820 by Customs Excise to keep an eye on smuggling that was rife 200 years ago in Cawsand and Kingsand. The stone cottage boasts spectacular sea views of the bay and backs on to Mt.Edgecumbe deciduous woodland, home to many types of birds, flora and fauna. Hillcrest is situated in the very front row of properties on Tregonhawke Cliff, giving spectacular, uninterrupted views of the Whitsand Bay panorama and a real sense of seclusion from the outside world. There is electric heating throughout and also a log burner for those days when you want to sit back and watch the storms roll in off the Atlantic. The property’s secluded location means it is only accessible via footpaths down the cliff with uneven sections. Sturdy footwear is required.

We are close to the beautiful wedding venue of Polhawn Fort, five minutes by car 15 minutes walk along the lanes. We are only two miles from Mount Edgcumbe and a mile from the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand. We are three minutes walk from the coast path. We offer comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people.
