We stayed at Carpenter’s Cabin for a quiet retreat, and it was everything we needed and more. The cabin is beautifully built, with handmade touches that make the space feel like a real sanctuary. We also appreciated the game room (a fun bonus!) and how clean everything was. Hot tub + snow was a real highlight! The hosts were kind and responsive (and they allowed our cat to join us; our fur baby had fun going up and down the stairs). If you’re looking for a place to slow down, this is it. Would absolutely return.

Such a sweet home on the lake. Perfect getaway for our family. We hope to be back in the summer months! Highly recommend for a scenic quiet spot to stay and enjoy the outdoors.

If you are looking for a place that is beautiful and has lots of room to spread out, this one is for you. Our large family gathered here for a fun filled family vacation. We loved loved loved the hot tub! It ended up being a cooler weekend so it was perfect. We rented a jet ski from a place in Detroit Lakes to add to the fun. All of the outdoor levels were wonderful! Also, there was a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom! I highly recommend it!

We will definitely be coming back!! This resort is a gem. It’s located on a beautiful point on a clear, quiet lake. The cabins were recently renovated and adorably decorated while still maintaining a feeling of nostalgia and a quaint cabin feeling. The pictures don’t do it justice. You feel like you’re on a boat staring out the cabin window because the water is so close. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They also have provided everything you would need for a fun, family getaway-games, sports equipment, a playground, a fun communal gathering space with a store, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, etc.

This place was awesome. A group of 10 of us stayed and had a great time hanging out in the very private location. The log cabin was very cool. The hot tub was massive was able to fit everyone comfortably. Unfortunately it was negative 6 degrees the entire time we were there so we couldn't use the fire pit outside but it was perfect for hot tubing, hanging out inside and playing games. There was a couple of cool towny bars closeish that we stop at on the way up but once there didn't feel the need to leave. We went hiking down the frozen river for 2 of the days and it was very cool. The way down to the river is a little steep so highly recommend good boots. We went slow but everyone felt comfortable getting down there. The other recommendation is to plan ahead with meals cause it about a 20 min drive to the nearest grocery store. We made all of the our meals there and the kitchen had everything we needed for utensils and kitchen stuff. The 3 full bathrooms was clutch. The group said mult

We had an excellent time at Angie's place on 3rd Crow Wing in Nevis. The cabin was exactly as pictured, perfectly cozy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and pantry were well stocked, and everything else from beds to bathrooms to the wood-burning fireplace and hot tub made the cabin perfectly inviting. Guess instructions were clear and check-in/out were easy. Would love to visit again!

Scott’s place was clean, well appointed, homey, and peaceful with amazing views of the lake. We had everything we needed during our stay, everything was clean and fresh; the beds were comfy, and the linens were clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for all the cooking we did, and the filtered drinking water on tap was a bonus. Checking in and out was easy, and the rules & directions were straightforward and easy to follow. Scott was a great communicator, and all around this was a fantastic stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing and quiet getaway.

The cabin was amazing. I went with my 3 kids and we roasted marshmallows by the fire and ate s’mores. We got to see some bats flying over head right as the sun was setting which was super cool. The paths that lead away from the house take you to the creek that looks like something out of a fairytale. While we were exploring a young deer came up to us with its tail wagging which made it all the more magical. The beds were really comfortable. The quilts were SO soft. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

The cablet was exactly as described. It was clean and well maintained. The scenery and view were amazing. Sarah was super and told me I could stay til noon. I will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Michael's place. Just as before, we found it very accommodating, clean, and in a great location. Very quiet and peaceful with lots of beautiful trees around. It has been challenging to find quality accommodations when we visit Wadena so we have really appreciated this cozy cabin!

We had an amazing getaway. This location was perfect for the two of us and our dogs! We can’t wait to book in the summer and fall to see the foliage on the property. After day trips to 2 state parks with our dogs, our favorite amenity was coming home and building a cozy fire in the wood stove. 10 out of 10 experience!

Beautiful getaway in north central MN. The fall colors over the lake were breathtaking and the cabin was the perfect retreat for a group of friends. Spent nights around the bonfire swapping stories. Would definitely recommend. Ev was so responsive and very pleasant to communicate with, too.

My husband and I spent a Wednesday thru Sunday long weekend at the cabin, and we would easily do it again! So many thoughtful touches and features by the owners make this a very enjoyable place to stay. I don't know how the AirBnB folks do it, because everyone's "triggers" are different for what makes it special and for us, it was a winner. The major things were an overall vibe that casual and comfortable and a host that communicated very well and addressed any needs. A small sampling of other things that created joy were a welcome basket of s'more fixings, tasteful decorations, an incredibly warm throw to cuddle on the couch with, dog dishes and TREATS (!) for our dogs, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, great chairs for sitting on deck, a wonderful beach/dock area for kids/dogs, ability to BBQ and have a great outdoor meal. Also, would highly recommend the Troll search. Very unique and fun! Visiting Walker MN and Itasca State Park with the fall colors was wonderful as well!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed, and it has continued to be a great location for our family. It is about 20 minutes from Bemidji, about 16 minutes to Park Rapids (Zorbaz) but great things to enjoy right in Lake George.

a rare find...cabin so close to the water, the dock and beach/firepit area! saved us a ton of walking with very minimal amount of steps. beautiful view of lake from almost every window. right off the road but amazingly very private! my daughter and i enjoyed every minute of our stay. nice dock, nice decks, nice cabin!!!

This beautiful log cabin on a little peninsula was an absolute perfect retreat! It was a great layout for our family of four upstairs and the grandparents in the mainfloor bedroom. The cabin has absolutely everything you will need and more. Every detail has been thought of! There is plenty of seating and dining areas both inside and out along with the dock, two adult kayaks and two kids kayaks. Can't say enough about the amenities on the property. Excellent fishing from the dock was a great bonus! Book this place, you won't be disappointed.

The cabin was clean and comfortable for our family, with easy access to a beach and the lake. Great spot for families with kids of all ages. We plan to come back!

We couldn't be happier with our choice of the Medhus cabin. What a gem! The instructions for check in were spot on, plus there were clear, helpful instructions in the guest book in the cabin for appliances and the fireplace. We had everything we needed to relax -- with Kerri readily available by message for my questions the entire time. We walked on the nearby trail, visited the restaurants in Nevis, and simply enjoyed the peaceful surroundings in this absolutely gorgeous lake home. We liked it so much, the second day we were there, my husband and I were looking at our calendars for when we could come back again next year. Thank you so much, Kerri!

We had a great weekend away and really appreciated the ramp accessibility for my dad, who uses a 4 wheel walker. Great hospitality and beautiful lake!

This cabin was wonderful! We felt right at home. So many fun little touches like a s’mores kit, fun color changing fire bag, games, tons of buckets and shovels for the beach. We loved the yard and ability to eat every meal outside right on the porch looking at the lake. The kids LOVED the ninja line, fishing from the dock, bouncing on the water bouncer, playing in the sand and walking down the street to visit cows. This was the most well stocked places we have ever stayed at! Michael was very quick to respond when we had a couple of questions. We also highly recommend two inlets resort if wanting to rent a boat, they were so friendly and easy to work with! Thanks Michael for a great place to stay and relax!!

Loon's Nest is a beautiful home with everything you need for a wonderful family lake vacation. It's relaxing, spacious, and lovely inside and outside of the home. The amenities of the resort are very convenient and a short walk from the house -- a wood-fired sauna, indoor hot tub, beach with water trampoline, playground, SUPs, kayaks. We loved staying at Kyle's beautiful home and recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy Long Lake.

The Cozy Cabin was exactly what I was looking for—a beautiful, peaceful place that made for the perfect weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care went into maintaining the space. Everything was clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully arranged, which made it easy to settle in and truly relax. One of the highlights was the deck with outdoor seating, located right on the lake. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind in the evening, just taking in the view. We were lucky enough to see a few loons on the water and listen to their calls throughout the day, which added to the tranquil atmosphere. The cabin is located in a gated community, which gave us an added sense of security and peace of mind throughout our stay. This cabin was the ideal setting to disconnect and recharge. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Stayed 2 nights and 3 days with a couple buddies. Everything was as pictured and described. We had a little trouble with Google navigating us to the wrong place but Aaron's thorough description of the approach to the property confirmed pretty quickly what we suspected and it wasn't too far away from the correct way to get there. The cabin itself is simple but everything you need for a relaxing retreat from the world and it's close enough to nearby cities to quickly get something if you need it. The lake is small enough and out of the way enough that it's not constantly noisy with people and you can actually enjoy the nature you're in. As an added bonus firewood is provided which is a huge plus! All in all, it was a great place to stay and enjoy a simple peaceful weekend. Would definitely recommend it to someone looking for the same.
