Attractive and stylish period property with fresh neutral decor and plenty of space. High ceilings and original features. Location great, at start of one of the main roads out of town, less than 5 mins from train station. Town centre walkable in 10 - 15 mins through an established Victorian residential area around Lovers’ Walk. River / Whitesands area 15 - 20 mins walk. Easy parking for the property on adjacent side streets. Bus route too (Dumfries to Lockerbie). Property is on the ground floor of a 3 storey townhouse, with around 10 steps up to front door. Dumfries town centre and surroundings have lots to offer. Robert Burns’ House and Centre, Gracefield Art Gallery, River Nith and Dock Park, town Museum, small cinema, plus shops including M&S, a large old Dept Store (Barbour’s), and independent shops such as Flourish, for local gifts etc. Plenty of cafés, restaurants and pubs.

A lovely little place, welcoming and warm. Off the main tourist routes, but still a beautiful location with plenty to see and do. Of course all the choccies in the workshop helped us to feel right at home. Very friendly hosts, thank you for everything- we may just see you again.

Jonny’s apartment is perfect for a stay in Ramsey. It is located right in the center of town and walkable to many restaurants and shops. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed. It was very helpful having a washer and dryer in the apartment as well. There was a lot of light in all rooms. As listed, the apartment is on the top floor with quite a few steps. Be sure and follow directions given by host as GPS didn’t take us to the correct spot. Will definitely stay here again if in IOM!

We had a brilliant stay and loved the amazing views. The apartment is bigger in person and really well laid out. Everything was clean and comfortable with some essentials provided in the fridge which was a nice touch. It was great having a bistro next door too when we wanted to eat out on our last night. The weather was mixed so we didn’t get to enjoy the wrap around balcony as much as we hoped but you can still enjoy the views from the warmth and comfort of the seating indoors. Would recommend and definitely come back.

Gary was responsive, professional and respectful during our stay. The place was spotless and had all the right amenities for a weekend getaway. The bathroom was a highlight. Super clean and very luxurious. There was also plenty of space for storage and a very simple way to access the building. Shops and parking are also very close-by. I’d very much recommend this place!!!!!!

An amazing and character filled property. Exactly as described. Beautiful. Serene and quiet. Lockbox was easy to find and use. Hosts were helpful, kind and thoughtful. Communicated well and were very accommodating. Would love to go again.

We spent 3days at the badgers den in this idyllic setting.We arrived to fresh eggs and biscuits from the host ,check in was easy.The cottage was spotless with a comfy bed and a great hot shower and its doggy friendly.Marion was a lovely host and takes time to come and introduce herself,she stays just along from the cottage so handy if you have any problems.The nature walk is beautiful and takes you round by the lake and the aviary filled with an amazing collection of birds,the owls are stunning.The nearest town is only a 10minute drive and has shops,supermarkets,restaraunts etc.Beautiful beach approx 40min drive away and worth a visit.I hadn't been to the Lake district before but i will definetly be back.I would highly recommend Marion's place if you are looking for a reasonably priced trip to a peacful place with beautiful surroundings and a friendly host

Kathryn’s apartment is fantastic and extremely clean and comfortable. It’s exactly as shown in the photos and so much larger than we expected. The only thing I would say to prospective guests is not to be put off by first appearances of the building itself. The entrance and vestibule are a bit ‘tired’ but once into the apartment itself there are absolutely no faults to be found! Everything is perfect with lots of little extras such as shampoo and shower gel. The kitchen is very well stocked and the welcome pack was much appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kathryn’s apartment as a base to explore the beautiful Isle of Man.

I rented Paul's accommodation for 7 weeks in total and it was lovely, clean and very handy for our tour during their rehearsal period. I shall definitely book again for more rehearsals in Jan/Feb/March 2025. Paul was also very responsive if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this house.

Great location! Good size house for a large family gathering, or possibly a group of walkers. . You can walk to Keswick on footpaths from the door as well as a walk up Dodd. Really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay again. Glyn and Paula

I think Rose's place was exactly what we needed on the last night of our roadtrip to the Highlands from London. Perfect place to take off on a detour through the Lake District on our way home. Very quirky, but fun decor inside.

Very happy with our stay, perfect location to stay for going walking in the Lake District and the log heated hot tub was excellent after an early morning of walking! Thank you 🙂

Perfect for our requirements. We were there only for two nights to climb Scafell Pike. The house was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and bathrooms good. Very good price, right in the town with great amenities close by.

Highly recommend the property. Very well presented throughout and had a beautiful private garden with seating area. The house is well equipped with everything that you could need. Within walking distance of the town and only a few minutes walk from a great restaurant

Julia's apartment was charming. Spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. The welcome pack was so very thoughtful, the dogs were delighted with their treats also. We have 2 dogs and she accomodated them really well....there was 2 of everything for them, throws and towels also which again is really thoughtful. We also bring our own but its really reassuring when your host makes it easy for you and supplies extra. The apartment is really well situated in the village but so quiet...we had a really peacful and relaxing stay which is what we needed. Thank you for being able to accomodate us at such short and making out visit to Portpatrick a great one.

This flat is lovely not far from the Turnberry hotel so great location. Clare was lovely and even dropped the key off for me at the hotel as was having lunch. Lovely quiet area the flat is in plenty of parking. Lovely surroundings beach, light house. Highly recommend will be back 💖

Came up from London with my partner to visit my brother and his family who live in Creetown. The drive from the apartment there was 10 mins so amazingly convenient for us! The apartment itself did everything you could need. Modern, clean, simple basics, but great internet, comfy bed, and lovely tv. Very lovely bathroom too! We arrived 3 hours late - early hours of morning but the check in instructions were so simple we did not need to disturb our host. Everything was honestly great. A little noise if you’re in the bedroom from the local pub but nothing excessive.

Except for the fact that getting to the apartment is a little tough ( you have to climb stairs of 2 floors through a narrow hallway ), everything else was perfect experience. Apartment is near to shops etc, great location and the apartment itself is absolutely lovely. great furniture, they even left a note to us and left some milk and stuff on the fridge for us which was such a lovely gesture. highly recomment if you are visiting seascale beach or any other place nearby.

Great little flat for a visit located right by the Dock Park which is perfect if you have kids and for a walk round. Designated parking space right outside the property and a short walk into town. Provided lots of recommendations for restaurants and takeaways and things to do whilst visiting. Would highly recommend this place and would happily book again when the time comes.
