This was our second stay in Lir Loft with our family of 4. We love the central location. It’s opposite the park and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach. The apartment is spotlessly clean, and has everything required for a family stay. The two bedrooms are roomy and very comfortable. The front bedroom and kitchen have lovely views out to the beach and the harbour. Eoin is a pleasure to deal with, easily contactable and responds quickly to any queries. We can’t wait to go back to our favourite little Ballycastle retreat.

Excellent bungalow very close to the amenities in Lamlash. Very clean and the garden is great for dogs, large and enclosed. Rear patio faces South so great for sitting out in the evening if the weather allows. We did not use the Hot Tub but it looked like quite a beast!

we stayed for one night and really enjoyed our stay. beautiful views and everything you need for a short stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and even went the extra mile for us having dropped us to a restaurant we had booked that even. It was a greatly appreciated. all in all class spot no complaints and would return again.

A fabulous property, beautiful decorated, you feel right at home. The location is ideal, not far from the ferry terminal and a great base for exploring the island. Jane has lovely touches throughout the property. We would definitely stay again when visiting Arran.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf. Het huisje is ontzettend gezellig en ruim met prachtige hoge plafonds en veel licht. Het heeft een klein groen tuintje waar je lekker privé kunt zitten. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. De omgeving is prachtig en vlakbij een mooi uitzichtpunt Torr Head. Het dorpje Bellycastle is erg leuk met genoeg winkels en een mooi strand met speeltuin. Er zijn veel mooie bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Echt een aanrader deze plek!

Karen is the most wonderful host. She went above and beyond in every way, from before we arrived, right up until the last day. Couldn’t have asked for more and she ensured we had the most lovely stay. Daisy cabin was clean, spacious and absolutely perfect for our 10 day break on Islay. The log burner made every evening feel special and the wood-fired hot tub was a real treat, particularly as it was tucked away with a view of the pine wood. The grounds of the cabin are restful and private and overlook a field where we saw white-tailed sea eagles, lapwings, hares and deer. At night we had the sound of a tawny owl keeping us company. Lovely memories of staying at the cabin. It helped to make a perfect honeymoon. Thank you Karen :-)

Very cosy, nice comfortable beds and immaculately decorated. Host was helpful and friendly. Easy walking distance to supermarket and shops and leisurely walk to seafront.

Lovely, quiet ground floor flat which is tucked away and quite private, yet within a short walk of the Ballycastle high street and beach. The interior was very tastefully presented, comfortable and well equipped for our visit. We highly recommend Alex’s place to other visitors.
