We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

Die Unterkunft ist zwar etwas älter aber war genauso wie beschrieben. Preis Leistung im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften auf der Insel top! Das Schlafzimmer war etwas hellhörig zu den Übermietern. Mit der Waschmaschine/Trockner kamen wir nicht klar, kann aber an uns gelegen haben. Sonst alles perfekt! Super Lage um die Insel zu erkunden und nur wenige Meter vom Tesco und der Fähre. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor der Türe. Sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Da vi havde hund med, var det rigtig godt at kunne gå ned gennem engen med får til strandarealet, hvor vores hund kunne løbe frit.

Had a great stay here in Carbost — the space was warm and comfortable with great views of the water (also loved being able to watch the passing snowstorm from the cozy couch). Really enjoyed walking the footpath to the distillery and pub/inn at the bottom of the hill, everyone we met in the area was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great location for accessing the Cuillins with hiking options nearby. Would definitely love to stay here again! Thanks Carbost Holiday Apartments!

Hector’s place was very comfortable, easy to access and you couldn’t beat the location. The flat is very spacious with beautiful lighting at all times of the day. Hector was great to communicate with and responsive to our inquiries. The Cafe below is an added bonus.

The perfect, most convenient place to stay on a visit to Stornoway. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Stephen’s cottage. The location is stunning, right by the water with breathtaking views, and the house itself is warm, beautifully kept, and very well equipped. We were so comfortable and impressed by the thoughtful touches throughout the home. Stephen was a fantastic host that responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. It was a peaceful and memorable trip, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we come to the Highlands. Highly recommended!

We hebben erg genoten van de tijd die we in dit huis verbleven. Het uitzicht is prachtig, de locatie centraal in Portree en perfect voor uitstapjes op Skye. Het huis is schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel luxe dat beide slaapkamers (met heerlijke hoofdkussens) een badkamer hebben. Het huis is gelegen aan het eind van een doodlopend straatje, direct aan kiezelstrand/zee (afhankelijk van het getijde). Er is een voortuin met privéparkeerplaats. Het enige waar we wat aan moesten wennen zijn de toeristen die foto's van de baai komen maken vanuit de voortuin/parkeerplaats, maar dat brengt ook wel een leuke reuring en een gevoel van trots dat je mag verblijven op zo'n bijzondere plek.

Für uns war die Unterkunft von Don ein echter Glückstreffer und ideal für unsere Touren. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Aussicht auf Loch Harport beim Frühstück, das "The Old Inn" mit Livemusik, der kleine Community Shop fast über die Strasse, die ruhige Lage, gute Literatur über Schottland und Skye und natürlich Don, dem keine Frage zu viel war, einfach super! Dankeschön!!!

This was my second time staying at Gals Eilean View. It was just as I remembered. comfy, clean, a great location and an amazing host. Josephine made up feel so welcome. I can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

What a wonderful find this place was. Tucked away in the most beautiful part of Scotland. When you wake up in the morning the view out to the sea, the living room has a large window looking out to the water. Log burner for getting cosy after a day out exploring. Kitchen and Bathroom also very modern! Debbie was wonderful aswell, the moment booking was accepted she was in contact making herself available for anything that we needed before getting there. Plenty of recommendations of where to explore/eat too. Overall the place & the host make this place a must book for anyone looking at this, we'll definitely be back!!

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

La maison est très bien équipée , accueillante et chaleureuse. Tout est fait pour que l'on s'y sente parfaitement bien. La vue est splendide à tout moment de la journée et avec n'importe quelle météo ! L'emplacement est parfait pour découvrir l'île. En conclusion, un séjour très agréable !

The location of the apartment is fantastic, with a beautiful view of the harbor. It’s just a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and grocery market in Portree. It’s public parking but we always found a spot close by. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was a great home base for us as we explored the island.

What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

Lita and Carol's place on Loch Bay is a hidden gem! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taigh Glas studio and would recommend to anyone looking to spend a few days on Isle of Skye. The location was great as we were easily able to explore a bulk of the island from the Waternish area. The studio itelself was sparkling clean, cozy, and had an amazing view of Loch Bay and surrounding landscapes! We really appreciated the nice touches Lita and Carol provided as well. Check-in was incredibly smooth, directions were clear, and we were even provided with a stocked fridge upon our arrival which was such a pleasant surprise after a long drive! Lita and Carol are so friendly and gave us great local recommendations. We would 100% stay here again and certainly recommend to others!

We can’t express enough how amazing Fiona’s Airbnb is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Her beautiful personal touches, fresh flowers, chocolates, delicious coffee and snacks with a lovely welcoming on the chalk board inside was so lovely. We will return it was THAT GOOD

What a magical and unforgettable place. We had the most incredible stay, with everything we could ever need for comfort, fully equipped kitchen, warm welcome from the hosts, and magical views every morning and evening. We even got to meet the cutest puppy ever! If you seek that feeling of being at the end of the world, surrounded by pure and unspoiled nature, mountains, and sea, this is the place to be. We were very lucky to have great weather for incredible hikes at Torridon Hills, which we highly recommend to anyone who loves mountain hiking. This is the place that will stay in our hearts forever.

My wife and I stayed with Diana number 10 as part of our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We could not be more pleased that we stayed here. Diana is an incredibly welcoming and gracious host. The accommodations themselves were clean, organized, and spacious with a well stocked kitchen with all equipment you would need to cook. The location itself is incredible and access to the hide makes for a perfect place to enjoy a book in a quiet secluded place. This is a truly special place which I would highly recommend to others.

Fantastic stay! Idyllic views of the ocean, very quiet and peaceful. I think this is the most beautiful AirBnb I have ever stayed in. Aside from the amazing setting, the house itself is very spacious and comfortable.

Wir haben es sehr genossen in der tollen Unterkunft auf Isle of Skye. John and Ann waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns beim Einchecken alles gut erklärt. Die Unterkunft ist eine gute Ausgangslage für Reisen in den nördlichen Teil der Insel oder in die westliche Region. Wir waren mit der Wohnung sehr zufrieden, ausser dass die Fenster leider mehrheitlich Dachfenster waren (es gab im Beschrieb auch einen Hinweis dazu). Wir haben dies aber etwas unterschätzt, da die Aussicht nur genossen werden konnte, wenn die Fenster geöffnet waren und man davor stand. Ansonsten eine sehr tolle Unterkunft.
