Jimmy, the host, was really accommodating. We had some unexpected delays on our journey to La Fortuna that caused us to miss our first activity. Jimmy was able to move our reservation to the next day. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to anyone.

I went with my fiancee and we had a great stay. it felt very private and romantic. We were offered horseback tours by our host for a very fair price. We'd be happy to recommend to prospective couple or group of friends.

**An Absolute Gem!** This Airbnb was everything we hoped for and more. The house was clean, comfortable, and beautifully authentic to the area, with thoughtful details that really made it feel special. What really stood out was the peaceful setting—surrounded by nature, it felt like the perfect escape, yet it was still just a short drive to town for anything we needed. Our host was fantastic—super responsive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a stunning location with easy access to town, this place is a gem. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This is an excellent place to stay in La Fortuna. Host was very quick to respond & friendly. The house is on the same road of La Fortuna Waterfalls, only a 4-minute drive from the waterfall entrance. And only a couple minute drive (maybe 5 minutes max) to get to downtown La Fortuna for many restaurants. Home is exactly how the pictures show & very clean. The pool is pristine and large. There is also a natural pond on the property, along with a second fish pond. Sounds of running water and waterfalls when sitting outside. Very nice... honestly better than the pictures. We saw birds and butterflies. Very relaxing, a mini oasis! The host helped us at the last minute when plans at another hotel fell thru. I am so grateful. Air conditioning is strong and cold. Kitchen was clean & had everything we needed. Host even has a little welcome pack of goodies in the kitchen upon arrival. Perfect location. Location is near "down town", yet quiet and private. HIGHLY recommend for La Fortuna!! (:

Alicia était très réactive à nos demandes, très bonne communication. Le logement était parfait, propre, bien équipé, proche du centre et sécurisé. Il est dans un quartier calme, grand avec une vue magnifique.

Amazing old wooden building in a quiet neighbourhood. The interior is amazing with a vaulted ceiling and three good bedrooms. The back veranda gives a great outdoor area to enjoy the perfectly manicured tropical gardens.... Can't go wrong with this place!

The Villa was exactly as shown and described and provided a very comfortable stay for our three nights in La Fortuna. The host was proactive with instructions and responsive to messages and also provided recommendations upon request for our time in the area. The location is great in the sense that you are near all of the La Fortuna sights, the only thing to be aware of is that you are next to the main road and traffic can be quite loud - there are noise machines provided in both bedrooms.

Wir haben die Flexibilität beim Check-in und bei der Buchung sehr geschätzt. Der Fluss hinter dem Haus ist super schön und die Lage ist super für viele Unternehmungen in der Umgebung.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 3 nuits à la Villa Fortuna (du 10 au 12 février), en groupe de 12 personnes (3 couples, 4 femmes et 2 hommes). La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée, à l’exception de la petite chambre à l’étage avec un lit superposé, qui est assez exiguë pour deux personnes. L’accueil par Matías a été parfait, avec une grande flexibilité sur l’horaire d’arrivée. La maison était extrêmement propre, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié les espaces extérieurs : la piscine, les hamacs et le terrain de volley-ball qui ont ajouté une vraie plus-value à notre séjour. Matías a été très réactif et disponible, nous donnant de nombreuses recommandations sur les activités à faire dans la région. Nous avons tout adoré, et nous recommandons vivement ce logement à ceux qui cherchent un endroit confortable et agréable pour explorer La Fortuna. Merci encore pour tout !

We were two families with teenage kids and really enjoyed the sleeping arrangements and that each adult couple and sets of kids had their own bungalow. The area was peaceful and just outside of town but quick and easy drive/ride into town (no problem Ubering to town). It’s a very authentic accommodations but still had AC and full kitchen. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Solo sugeriría que dejaran un par de toallas extras,aclaró las solicitamos y nos las entregaron casi de inmediato, sólo que considero que estaría bien tenerlas a la mano. Beautiful place in a secure gated community!

We really enjoyed our three-night stay at Villa Roger Arenal in April 2025. When we arrived, we were greeted by don Rogelio, who gave us the keys and walked us through the house. He provided fresh fruit and cake from a local bakery, all of which was delicious. The property and the views are even more stunning in person than the pictures. We enjoyed lounging in and by the pool with its amazing view of Arenal. The covered patio has plenty of comfortable chairs where you can relax or read in the shade. We really enjoyed watching the birds feed on the fruits left for them. The location was very convenient to downtown La Fortuna and served as a great home base for our adventures (zip lining, rappelling, hot springs, etc.). Lester gave us recommendations for local restaurants for dinner and the meals were excellent. Villa Roger Arenal is one of the nicest AirBNBs we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend it as a home base for the La Fortuna area. It was perfect for our family of 5.

We had a great family vacation at this beautiful property. The setup is ideal as the great room is large enough for everyone to spend lots of quality time together. There's a pool table, large TV and lots of seating. The location worked well for us and was about 15 to 20 minutes from most of the activities we decided upon (which William and Laura helped arrange). I would highly recommend William and Laura's place for a get together with a large group.

We had an absolutely incredible stay. The place was gorgeous—beautifully designed with such attention to detail. It was spotless, peaceful, and felt like our own little private retreat. There’s something truly magical about it; it’s one of those rare places that feels even better in person than in the photos. We didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene and unforgettable escape!

Casa Tropicala was absolutely amazing! Our party of 4 adults loved the ensuite bedrooms, large bathrooms and the open living/kitchen area. The glass doors leading to the pool created a beautiful, open indoor/outdoor space. Washer and dryer a big plus. Location was great. We used Uber to go everywhere. Five to 10 minutes to downtown, shops and restaurants. The few minor issues we had were resolved quickly. I highly recommend Casa Tropicala! You will love it!

Lugar súper recomendable. Tranquilo. Tiene todo lo que necesitas para pasar un rato agradable. La anfitriona dejó unos presentes increíbles para nuestro disfrute y comodidad. Realmente una maravilla de lugar. Definitivo regresaría. Viaje con perros y también para ellos el lugar estuvo genial y había cosas pensando en su comodidad. This Airbnb was in a great location! Several restaurants within walking distance and we loved the El Salto Rope Swing which was only a 6 min walk. We were also very close to the downtown, still had to drive but it wasn't bad. There is plenty to do around the area. Most of the springs are within a 25 min drive. The house itself was very nice. We felt safe and the pool felt amazing after a long day of exploring. I would definitely recommend this house.

La casa es muy céntrica, espaciosa y muy bonita. Tiene todo lo que se necesita y es ideal para grupos grandes. La comunicación con Rebeca fue muy fluida y atenta. Únicamente hay que considerar que la salida es temprano (10 am) y en nuestro caso, no hubo flexibilidad para hacer 'late checkout'.

Loved our stay at Peter's house! Location is perfect - close to town yet extremely private. Peter was very responsive and met with us for a smooth check-in. His home looks exactly like the photos. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. By far the best part of the property is the gorgeous backyard, patio, and pool. We spent most of our time there enjoying the lush landscape and wildlife. Would absolutely recommend!

Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen Kurzaufenthalt benötigt. Heydi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin (sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit). Die Lage kam uns sehr gelegen, da nicht in La Fortuna und schon Richtung Vulkan. Dennoch sind in direkter Nachbarschaft Buchungsoptionen verfügbar und ein kleiner Laden für das Nötigste. Bedenke, dass nur eine Kochplatte verfügbar ist, weswegen sich die Zubereitung komplexer Mahlzeiten nicht anbietet. Das Schlafsofa hat an einer Klappstelle einen harten Bereich und könnte daher für Erwachsene etwas unbequem sein. Wir hatten damit aber kein Problem. Besonderer Pluspunkt ist die kostenlose Nutzung der gegenüber liegenden Therme mit Mineralbädern. Würden dort definitiv nochmal buchen

Casa Colette was a great place to stay! It is a beautiful home and the hosts provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable. It was walkable to most places during the daytime and we would usually drive to dinner at night.

if you are looking to stay in LA Fortuna with a couple of friends (very spacious) it would behoove you to book with Marco and Leticia. everything was above and beyond. grounds and outdoor kitchen? beautiful. Monkeys, all the birds, iguanas, etc on the property. Close to town, close to swimming hole. well done Marco and Leticia.

This place is even greater in person! The host is extremely helpful and answered all my questions while I was there. The rooms are spacious there’s a nice kitchen with everything you need to cook. I felt safe and at home. I highly recommend !
