The house was beautifully decorated and had so many lovely touches. The back deck was peaceful and the hot tub was such a nice option to have after a long day of tours. The gate with code made us feel very secure. Make sure to look for the gate as our Waze took us one street over so we had a bit of confusion when we first got there. Alan was quick to respond and get us where we needed to be. Good location. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a lovely stay. Nice place, peaceful and well placed for local activities. The hot tub was a lovely feature too for relaxing at the end of the day. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very nice house. Clean and family friendly. Kitchen is nice. There are a lot of bugs in the rain forest so keep the windows closed! Coming from Florida USA so bugs are normal, but if you are not use to the tropics then bring bug spray for mosquitos. If you are from CR, like my partner, then you already know to keep doors and windows shut especially at night. AC was nice to have after a long day of being outside. Very close to hot springs. The markets and restaurants are great. Overall this place is really nice for a chill small group of people. This stay made our small family reunion feel comfortable and complete. It was 6 and 1/2 of us (1 baby) but this place is actually bigger than we thought. Very spacious and more than enough bed space. House keeping rules are simple. AC off when you leave the house to save for the environment! I hope who ever reads this has a great time like we did! Thank you John and Tati for your great hospitality.

Super happy with this location! The place was beautiful and had everything we needed to accommodate our young kids including a pack and play crib, high chair, and some toys. Jarvey was super accommodating and met us with fresh bread and was able to last minute get us massages at the house. Saw toucans outside, as well. Awesome stay!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home. Great location - easy to walk to all areas of LaFortuna downtown. Off street parking and pool table are added bonus. Listing photos are true to property. Host was attentive and very helpful. I personally slept on the Sofa Bed and can attest that even the Sofa Bed is very comfortable. I would rent this property again.

If you value travel for its cultural exchange, but you still want your own space and privacy, this may be the perfect combination for you. I traveled with my partner and 3 kids to La Fortuna and stayed for 2 nights at Jose’s Genesis house. The house itself had several charms and perks: a pretty pool our young daughters loved, a jacuzzi, fun bunk beds, a washer and dryer, a luxurious shower, great AC, a fully-equipped kitchen… Jose checked on us after we arrived to make sure we had what we needed. We were very comfortable in the space! For us, the included tour offered something unexpected and special. We are Americans with a culture of not wanting to “impose,” feeling impolite even just for talking too long to someone we don’t know well. By the end of our time with Jose and his family, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that they had invited us into their home as if we, too, were family. I’m still awed by their trust, relaxed ease, and welcoming spirit.

Gabriela has a fabulous spot! The views were amazing of Arenal when the clouds were away, and even then, the pasture, the greenery, the flowers, the animals! They were such a delight. The space was comfortable with everything you could need! A friend and I stayed for a few days to explore La Fortuna and it was a great location! Only a quick drive into town for food and exploring! I definitely recommend this space. Super peaceful

Great stay- while it was rainy during our stay it was a great place to be at since we could walk right across the parking lot to get to the sloth tours! Super great location- also very close to the chocolate tour we did (6 mins away!) and loved the hot tub

This location of the Airbnb is amazing. Walking distance to the town center (2 blocks away), but has many options close. All of the recommendations were amazing! Don Rufio, Soda Rodriguez, and Trevasia stood out the most and did not disappoint. The gated parking and secluded suite really set this place apart. We were in the heart of it all while still having a private vibe. This was well with the price and I cannot recommend enough. We hope to return to stay again!

Our family of four with two teenagers loved this place. The instructions and YouTube video were super helpful when we had to find this gem hidden back from the Main Street. The jacuzzi was great and they really used all of the space so well to create a little oasis that was close to the action but felt a world away. Highly recommend.

We loved this little oasis. It was so beautiful that we even did paid family photos in the yard. Amazing view of the volcano. Safe feeling with the gate and multiple locks. Great location. And we loved the bedroom setup with three kids. The master suite upstairs is so so cool.

A beautiful space in a very good location. It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle, but Monterrey is just minutes away. It was a great place from which to explore La Fortuna and the Arenal area.

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und hatten eine schöne Zeit in diesem kleinen Paradies :) Das Zimmer ist sehr gepflegt und die Terrasse gemütlich. Brüllaffen, Glühwürmchen, Kolibri uvm. war direkt an der Unterkunft zu sehen

Very nice hosts and a very peaceful stay! Loved the agriculture and views around the place. Far enough from the crowds but close enough to the town of La fortuna. It was perfect!

we loved this place so much we stayed for the second time in 8 days. this is the best place in the area and we will stay here when we travel to the Arenal area. so peaceful and quiet with all kinds of birds and the trees, plants and flowers especially on the walking trails. it's a fairly short walk but worth the time. close to town to walk to everything. the pool is so nice and private. the inside of the cabin is well equipped with comfortable King bed and great shower. the hammock is a nice touch. love this place and highly recommend it because it's awesome and Mau is a great host.

Awesome space- saw some great wildlife. The environment of Monteverde is well displayed here. The hot tub and sauna were a nice touch. Nice space for a couple. Bathroom and shower were nice. We had a lovely time! Connected trails right to the Airbnb but we didn’t get a chance to explore. The host was very easy to communicate with overall!

Me encanto esta cabaña, muy privado y el jacuzzi ni que decir, definitivamente quiero volver, y Karen demasiado amable y pendiente, hay gasolinera, restaurantes, y licorerías muy cerca entonces eso es un plus, también la televisión tenia Netflix y estuvo demasiado ameno el lugar ❤️‍🩹🤩

This place was absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful. We saw so many beautiful birds throughout our stay—it truly felt like a retreat in nature. This was the kind of stay I didn’t even realize I needed, in more ways than one. Such a thoughtfully designed and calming space—I honestly can’t wait to come back. Just a heads-up: the home doesn’t show up correctly on Uber maps, so it’s best to drop a pin for your location rather than entering the address directly.
