We are licensed accommodation government of Kyoto city. The house has passed safety fire inspection of fire department. This house is located near Kiyomizu Temple, and it is very convenient for visiting by walking distance many other famous temples, shrines, downtown Gion area, the most famous Geiko district! The house is traditional wooden house with modern equipment! This house is a unit fitted out into a house divided into three housing. However You don't share anything with other guests.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

Tubara is in the Higashiyama in Kyoto. You can go to so many sights (Kiyomizu temple, Kenninji temple, Yasaka shrine, Fushimiinaritaisha, Gion area, Kamo river, downtown..) on foot! Tsubara was 100y old Machiya, we lovely restored all possible to original style using antique fittings & materials by traditional craftsmanship. We love Tsubara, we hope the guests too! We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.
