Our stay at Tanei’s home in New Orleans was amazing! The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had super comfortable beds. My family and I felt completely safe and loved how quiet and beautiful the neighborhood was. We came for a weekend getaway, and it was perfect. The saltwater pool was a huge hit for my family. I also enjoyed morning walks to the lake and taking in the beautiful views. We didn’t use the fireplace, but the home itself was magnificent. Getting around was easy with Uber; wait times were short, and we were only about 15 minutes from the French Quarter and most attractions. Tanei was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making everything smooth. After a long morning of travel, the welcome snacks and water she left were so thoughtful and appreciated, especially with hungry kids! We truly felt at home and will definitely always book her place when visiting NOLA.

Very unique place. We enjoyed the grounds and sitting by the fire outside. Our fur baby enjoyed exploring too. It was relaxing and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. We also drove into nearby Covington and had a great lunch at LOLA.

Great place and safe neighborhood! Uber and Lyft cheap to anywhere! Awesome place to relax!

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

I can see why Wendy is a superhost. She went beyond providing what any host should provide and answering our questions, fully and promptly. We were left with coffee, Twinings tea, first rate bath supplies, a large collection of magazines about events, restaurants, and other information about New Orleans, a welcoming bowl of candy, and even Zap’s Potato chips! Hers is a class act!

Prime location off Fretet st. Get place for walking entertainment and night life. Property has a nice pool and great outdoor lounging. The host is very responsive and has done a get job at making sure the place has all of the amenities that one could wish for in an airbnb. Felt more at home than other rentals i have had because literally everything there. Bonus - Massive amount of board games!

Great stay, near everything, I will be going back!

This was an excellent stay for me and my group! The house in located in a perfect area, away from the craziness but close enough. and the street is packed full on awesome restaurants for when you choose to stay in.

I know it's a bit overzealous to give 5 stars for all categories without seeming disingenuous, but we simply had a lovely time at Thomas & Kevin's home. It was cozy and comfortable with pleasant outdoor porches (front & back) to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Easy parking and the neighborhood was peaceful. Travel to and from all the excellent restaurants, landmarks, and shopping was about 10-20 min away and easy to navigate. (But be careful of the potholes and expensive public parking -- rivals my hometown of Chicago!) We also liked the fact that it wasn't a corporately owned location, allowing us to have more of an authentic stay that show-cased the quintessential Southern Hospitality. Thomas & Kevin were super cool -- always responsive and helpful. Overall, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here if you get a chance!
