This was one of the best cottages / Lake house we have ever stayed at. Very large. Clean and modern. The host left us small Christmas / new year gifts for the children. Great special touch. Very responsive and accommodating and inviting. Very high end and well stocked kitchen. Great for our large group. We had no issues of any kind. We had a great few days and will definitely be back at some point soon.

Amazing place, Eric went above and beyond to accommodate me and my friends. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a private/cozy place with breathtaking views 👍🏽

Shirley a vraiment été une super hôte! Elle avait partie un petit feu de foyer pour nous avant que l’on arrivent. Elle nous a laissé des condiments, café et bouteille de vin 😇quelle belle attention! We had such a wonderful time at this cottage! The setting is peaceful and private. The large deck supplied with paddle board/kayaks, the dock, and the fire pit were highlights. We had lots of fun swimming and paddling around the lake, which was clear and quiet. The cottage is more on the rustic side, but is as shown in the photos. Would absolutely love to stay here again!! The hosts provided very clear instructions on check-in and check-out, and were quick to respond to messages.

The rental place is clean and well organized. Nina is quick to respond. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area.

Kelly’s place is well worth every penny. Beautiful river and huge property with a great fire pit and multiple paddle boats. Also well equipped inside with everything you need and very well kept. Felt right at home. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Jen’s beautiful Airbnb in Calabogie! From the moment we booked, Jen was extremely communicative and proactive—she provided clear instructions and helpful tips that made our entire trip smooth and enjoyable. The home itself is stunning, with a huge backyard that opens up to a serene lake and breathtaking views. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The property is also incredibly pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. Our two Shiba Inus had the time of their lives running freely in the open space—watching them enjoy the outdoors so much made our stay even more special. This was truly a memorable experience for both us and our pups. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Jen’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly escape surrounded by natural beauty.

My family and I spent Christmas at Michelle’s lovely cottage and we had a great time! The cottage itself is very nice and cozy; in person, it looks even better than in pictures. It had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub is a must as it has an amazing view of the lake; and we also enjoyed a little walk around with snowshoes available at the cottage. The host, Michelle, was very kind and responsive. She had the cottage decorated for Christmas, which was perfect for our gathering and created a very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely consider going back during summer as the place has many in-the-house amenities and private access to the lake. Thank you, Michelle, for hosting us!

This cottage was the absolute perfect place to enjoy some down time as a family! The cottage was clean, well equipped and located on a beautiful, quiet beach. Everything we needed was provided and more! We enjoyed playing soccer on the large sandy beach, swimming, fishing, board games, campfires and watching movies in the evening. The kids and parents loved it!

Very nice cottage, we had 9 adults and 1 infant, it was spacious, area was beautiful and host was very friendly and willing to help. Everything was great, wifi was very tricky to connect. Our phones couldn’t connect to the service because this place is remote and without wifi, it was no phone for everyone for few days. Which I greatly enjoyed having to get off my phone and computer for few days and really connect with my family. I know some of the family members were frustrated without a connection. Definitely would bring back for families next year!

The cottage was an ideal fall retreat. With plenty of firewood provided, we stayed cozy through chilly nights, and the clean barbecue made outdoor meals easy. The lake was calm and beautiful, and we enjoyed peaceful moments on the water with the host’s canoe and kayak. Nearby trails led to excellent lookout points with fantastic views. The night sky was incredibly clear, it felt like we could see the entire galaxy. Christine's parents were also very helpful during our stay, adding a welcoming touch to the experience. This place offered a perfect blend of comfort and nature.

Jackie’s cottage is an amazing and authentic way to enjoy the Canadian countryside. We felt very at home. Jackie was super responsive in case we had any questions. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Would recommend to all.

We spent 4 nights to do some ice fishing. We had 9 people in total and had more than enough room. Everything was spotless and as described in the listing. As a bonus, we had a very successful fishing trip! The property looks like it would be fabulous in the summer as well.

My family and I had a wonderful getaway at York Riverscape. The cottage was well stocked with all the essentials. We especially loved not having to bring our own bedding and towels. The kids had a blast with the foosball table: Julie and Roger were responsive hosts and their cottage was exactly as described. We plan to return in the future.

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

Nous avons adoré ce chalet situé dans un lieu calme, paisible, beau. Le logement était très bien équipé (nous avons même trouvé un adaptateur alors que nous n'avions pas pris le nôtre). Le parking devant le chalet n'est pas accessible sans voiture adaptée à cette période de l'année, comme nous l'a indiqué l'hôte, nous nous sommes garés facilement sur la route très proche du logement.

We loved our stay here! The house was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed and more. The dock and watercrafts were our favourite daytime spot, and the dining table was perfect for groups games in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the fire pits but there were two of them! We’ll definitely be back!

Probably the cleanest and best equipped cabin I have ever been. Exactly as as described and on the photos. Very strong recommendation for everyone who loves the nature and privacy.

We had a great time at Heather's place. The cottage was decorated beautifully. We love the hot tub and the backyard lighting around it. Everything was set up with a timer and it's pretty good for us to not have to worry about it. It's so good to have two firepits and the supplies to start the fire. The local convenient store is a short drive and has everything we need when we ran out of supplies. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea and all the snacks are nice treats. It is very cozy and the surrounding is gorgeous. The heater in the house can be quite annoying at night for someone staying on the daybed. We were warned about the noise in the instructions but couldn't do much about it or change the sleeping arrangement. The beds in all rooms are all very comfortable and if the heater issue can be somehow addressed, that would be much better. (the heater just turns on and off way too frequently) Overall, we had a great time! Heather and Michael are very friendly and responsive hosts. Thank you!

We were looking for a quiet fall cabin getaway and this provided us with exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was located on a fairly private section in the trees. There was a walking trail near by and access to the water and a dock. By traveling in the off season the park was pretty quiet. 😊 The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the cozy inside comforts of home as well as the great deck and wonderful forest and river view. Mike, the park manager, was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us upon our arrival and showed us to our cabin making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There was a bit of a grumpy resident camper who came over to complain as soon as we arrived because our dogs were playing and burning off some steam after being in the car for a couple hours. The dogs were both on long lines, but he claimed the dogs were loud & he was going to complain to the park manager about us. If he did we didn’t hear about it.

A cozy, secluded, minimalist cabin/pod perched on the edge of a vibrant wetlands, the Wood Duck had everything I was looking for and more, combining the feeling of wild camping with the comforts of a solid, heated structure with a barbecue, mini-fridge, microwave, and all sorts of wonderful added features, from a solar shower to a smart TV (!) to canoe and kayak access. It's rare to find a place on airbnb that gives such genuine value for such a fair price, and that actually delivers the privacy it promises, and the more one explores what Zac and Steph have to offer through Deacon Escarpment Cabins, Camping and Trails, the more one comes to appreciate how lovingly and respectfully they've set things up for people to really immerse themselves in nature, and have a wonderful time doing it. As a bonus, communication was warm, simple and straightforward, and I was so appreciative of the ease and flexibility of checking in and out. Would love to return - thanks again, Zac and Steph!

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

We visited in mid-October, and the foliage was amazing. The lake is indeed pristine. Very comfortable cabin; one 29 degree F night challenged the woodstove in the main room, but the bedroom was super cozy. Very near Algonquin PP so there is lots to do. Joanne and Lars were very responsive to questions.
