Wonderful location and fabulous space! Super for our family of four adults and a 2 year old! Amazing host met us at the door! Thank you so much! Will come again!

River Cottage was such a gem! The surroundings were like a jungle, the grounds were beautiful and there was fun activities like board games and kayaks. We were even able to borrow a fishing pole and caught a fish! I enjoyed walking around the farm property and river area. My favorite part was access to a lookout tower off the deck. I made my latte each morning and climbed up there to enjoy it while watching and listening to all the birds. Book this place, it's magical!

Our time at the Shearer’s cottage was absolutely magical. My husband and I stayed with our three children for three nights. We were all utterly delighted when we walked in the door - lots of excited gasps from everyone - the surroundings are gorgeous, the property is thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean… far enough from the madding crowd to feel peaceful and secluded, yet still a very convenient drive to Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. Ian and Anna were very friendly and communicative and made us feel totally welcome. Allow time to make the most of this beautiful place. The dawn chorus is glorious! Make sure you opt in for the spa by the river. We really hope we can visit again. Thank you so much Ian and Anna.

Bruce is certainly a "host with the most!" Not just a cute little cabin, but a home away from home. Loved having access to a spa and a stones throw away to the beach. His koha (gift) of his book "The Sneezle Beezle" was a perfect touch to our holiday creating memories for us and our stay. We will definitely book again. Kia Ora Bruce!

The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

We had a great stay at Jo’s amazing little cottage. View was to die for! And just a short walk down the pathway and steps to the beach. Place was clean and everything as described with a well equiped kitchen. Was great to have the heat pump too as it is now starting to get a bit chilly in the mornings. We didn’t want to leave! Your warm welcome on our arrival, accompanied by a gorgeous handwritten note, warm sourdough bread, fresh milk and freshly baked walnut chocolate chip biscuits, perfectly epitomised our stay at Cowshed Cottage! We loved the well-thought-out decor, the delightful linens on the comfy bed, and all the welcoming nooks that begged us to enjoy them with a hot drink and a good book in such a peaceful setting. The Cowshed Cottage, and you both, are the blissful warm hug that had us breathing deeply and releasing any stress we didn’t know we needed. One night was not enough! With a longer stay, we might just feel inclined to try out the spectacular gym, although I think cosying down with a glass of something delicious and another book might win out. We can’t wait to return and we will definitely be staying longer next time. Thank you both again for everything.

The place was great, very clean and organized with a great kitchen that is very well equipped! The kids really loved the place and we were very comfortable. Hosts were very flexible with accommodating our checkout time and were very communicative and nice Definitely coming back!

We have immensely enjoyed our stay here. There is plenty of room for the kids to play and of course a beautiful beach very close to the bach. A lovely place to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together. Also a good location to explore the Far North and come back to a tranquil place at the end of the day.

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. Whether you're just a couple or with a big group of friends, Gary and Debbie's place is perfect for you. Brilliant communication from area experts. We hope to be back soon 😊

We had a truly wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome that made us feel right at home. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked with essentials (and a few treats for the kids!), which was such a nice touch after a long journey. The interior of the house is beautiful—clearly decorated with a lot of love and attention to detail. It felt cozy yet stylish. Many sites are within easy reach (most within 2h) but Karikari Peninsula itself has so much to offer that you truly don’t need to leave (from stunning beaches to scenic walks). With the beach on our doorstep, the kayaks and SUPs were a highlight and kept us entertained for many hours in the ocean. We also experienced a brief blackout during our visit, and Fleur went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was reassuring to know we were in such good hands. Overall, an amazing experience—cozy, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches. Highly recommend!

We had a very enjoyable few days in this lovely place. Great views, peaceful surroundings and comfortable, spacious accommodation. Steve was a good host, friendly and helpful. We loved exploring this part of the world and would happily come back to the area and the house.

Sally and Kev are friendly hosts with a gorgeous spot right by the water. Plenty of room for our family of four, two bedrooms inside the cottage and a well appointed sleep-out. Amenities to meet all needs when staying away from home. Would fully recommend!

This Air BnB is fabulous. Full of character and Kiwis! Beds are very comfortable. Perfect location and great view from the top garden. A very warm welcome from the host, James, with personalised messages and suggestions. Would recommend!

Nous étions un couple avec un enfant de 5 ans. le cottage est parfaitement équipé dans tous les domaines:literie, ustensile de cuisine, vaisselle, salle de bain, lessive, il y a même quelques jouets; tout y est. L’environnement est agréable avec un joli jardin . Je recommande vivement le cottage. Merci

This is a well kept home which outshines the photos in real life. Beautifully clean with comfortable furnishings. Lovely natural linens on the beds. We are sensitive to fragrance & perfumes and there was minimal use of scents here so literally a breath of fresh air. Thank you Bruce! Very generous and considerate hosts. Lovely outdoor plantings of camelias that were in flower around the boundary. Wonderful to be near the stand of Totara trees. The property is close to the road, but the odd bit of traffic noise was not a disturbance. Would be happy to come here and stay again.

Linda’s place is beautifully organised and very clean. Lovely starry nights there. I didn’t explore the surrounds as I was too busy helping set up for my sons wedding, etc. next time I’m in Rangitane I’ll visit her studio 🩵
