Overall experience was worthy according to time we had in his peaceful stay . Away from the busy cities . You want home away from real chaotic lifestyles. It provides that. View of the surroundings could be more enhanced if balcony of the apartment faced the real view. But won’t complain on that part as the view was seconds to walkable distance once you were downstairs. Place was tidy enough. Rahul himself was very responsive in taking care of his guest. Felt satisfied with the stay in this serene surrounding which had good market accessibility and good connectivity with the rest of the interesting places. So if want to plan a stay in quiet places, it worth the deal. As our plan was for 3 days but we eventually extended it .

Amazing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A place worth visiting, and spending just one day is not enough! You can see the white peaks clearly early in the morning. Perfect to spend time with the loved ones. Road that leads to the stay is also really nice and you can easily take your car there too.

Pahadi Nest is the perfect retreat if you're craving peace and nature. The views are stunning, serene mountains that instantly calm your soul. The host, Akshay, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart… The caretakers were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home. Everything from the setting to the service was thoughtfully done. Can’t wait to be back!

I had a wonderful stay at La Vie in the Mountains in Majkhali, Ranikhet, hosted by the warm and caring Sarika Verma. The location, 10 km from the main Ranikhet, was peaceful, scenic, and calm, with nearby short treks. The home was well-equipped and comfortable, and Trilok, the helpful caretaker, made sure everything was taken care of. Cleanliness was good, and although I expected towel and linen changes every 2-3 days, they were taken care of when requested. The terraces had spectacular views, though the Himalayan peaks were hazy. I enjoyed the presence of birds and cows. The homestay was perfect for work and meditation, with good connectivity. Sarika even arranged a ground-floor room for my elderly parents, catered to their food preferences, and ensured their comfort. I highly recommend La Vie in the Mountains for a peaceful and well-cared-for stay in Majkhali, Ranikhet!

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . Staying at Panchwati Farms, Prashant’s homestay in Almora, was an experience to remember. The property perfectly combines modern architecture with a charming Kumauni theme, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Waking up to the mesmerizing Himalayan views felt like a dream come true. The highlight was the delicious Kumauni food—every dish was authentic, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. Firstly, thanks to Mihir's place we rediscovered the magic of Kumaon. Mihir's bungalow allows you a few days of dreamy break from an otherwise humdrum life. The bungalow/villa has very a large lawn with multiple places to settle down in and comes with impeccable service. A few specifics: 1) The property caretakers took good care of us 2) The cook rustled up lovely meals 3) There is a very clear and vast view of the Nanda Devi range from the property, weather permitting 4) No problem of water supply - which can happen in the Himalayas 5) Power back up in case of occasional loadshedding Deepak

The property is nestled in a quaint part of Majkhali, with easy access from the National Highway. There's 2 switchbacks and a short dirt trail + concrete road wide enough for one car leading to the property. Fairly easy to navigate through for anyone used to driving on the hills. The Chalet is as described in the pictures, and is maintained well by the hosts. The bedrooms aren't too cramped, and the bathrooms are neat. The kitchen had all basic cutlery, crockery, and glassware. The food menu has most of the basic varieties and local choices included, and the cook, Harish, prepares a fine meal. Being in a hamlet, we were asked to place our food orders a few hours in advance, which was completely understandable for the staff to go out and buy fresh produce. The caretaker, Paan Singh, is super jovial, and always ready to assist in anything required. I spent 3 days here with my parents, and we went back satisfied with the experience and the hosting.
