We absolutely loved this villa, Mania very kindly greeted us at Midnight as we had a late flight, and yes the reviews are right, she arrived with the most amazing moussaka and even made a vegetarian one. Mania was always available for any advice/recommendations and managed the tricky combination of being present but not intrusive. There was also a really thoughtful welcome gift of homemade food waiting for us. The kitchen was really well equipped, and super clean, we ate in a lot and enjoyed dinners on the covered terrace. We loved the pool, the kids especially, we spent a lot of time in the pool as it was very hot. The beds were comfy, the rooms all have their own bathroom, and terraces, there was lots of thoughtful touches throughout. The garden is beautiful and I don't think we managed to sit in all the different seating areas in the week. The winner for me was the decor, it was so beautiful, it was like staying in house in a Home Decor magazine. We will definitely come back.

Truly beautiful villa! The photos simply do not do this place justice - this wonderful ‘wow’ factor home & surroundings are gorgeous. My family felt immediately at home & relaxed. Villa was clean, well stocked with equipment & our hosts Eleni & Marinos were lovely - both on hand when required & respectful of our privacy. We received a welcome package which was very thoughtful. Filter machine meant no need for bottled water. We walked up to Old Hersonissos a couple of times & enjoyed some lovely food & a little shopping in a vibrant atmosphere. Also we went shopping down in Limenas Chersonisou. We enjoyed BBQ at our villa, eating outside during a full super moon! 🌖 The mountain, the sea view & the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The outdoor gazebo area is fantastic for chilling day or night, with cold drinks (or ice creams) immediately on hand from the outdoor fridge. A/C great for all different areas, but the breeze was just as nice sometimes in the main area. Highly recommend 😊

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine ! Les hôtes, M. et Mme Vaggelis ont été adorables et plein de délicates attentions. Ils étaient réactifs et toujours disponibles et à l'écoute, s'assurant que nous ne manquions de rien. Tina, qui nous a accueillis le premier jour était également très à l'écoute et hyper bienveillant à notre égard ! Quant à la villa, elle était parfaite en tout point de vue ! Les photos de l'annonce correspondent à la réalité ! Je dirais même que c'était au delà de ce qui était indiqué ! La propreté impeccable, les services proposés, la décoration et le design de la maison, sans oublier cette vue incroyable sur la mer et sur l'île de Spinalonga. Je recommande ces hôtes et cette villa ! Allez-y les yeux fermés ! vous ne serez pas déçus ! Merci encore 😊

A fantastic villa with a wonderful host. Emmanouil was great from booking, with a few questions we had before we arrived, to check in, during our stay and also for checking out. So pleasant and helpful. The Villa was really clean and modern, well furnished and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this villa!

Amazing stay, exactly as described on the listing. Beautiful view, very clean premises, lots of kitchen utensils, BBQ worked well. We cannot ascribe any faults to this stay, it was 10/10. Perfect for a couple stay.

Wir kamen spät am Abend in der Unterkunft an und Manolis hat uns sehr gut empfangen. Er hat uns frische Pizza mitgebracht und waren sehr froh darüber, da nichts mehr offen hatte um diese Zeit. Die Einrichtung entsprach den Bildern, aber die Betten hätten bequemer sein können. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr privatsphäre gewünscht, da die Balkone der Hotelgäste direkt auf unser Aussenbereich (Pool) gerichtet war und das auf den Bildern nicht gut ersichtlich ist. Die Lage ist gut, man ist schnell überall, aber ich empfehle ein Auto zu mieten. Ansonsten war alles top und ich würde die Villa Anna Maria wieder buchen.

Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht und hatten einen perfekten Urlaub! Es gab ein paar Mängel, aber diese wurden sofort behoben und auch als es in der gesamten Region einen Stromausfall (durch Bauarbeiten verursacht) gab, wurde sich bemüht das wir so schnell wie möglich wieder Strom hatten! Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt Manolis und seinem Team. Er stand uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zu Seite und hatte tolle Empfehlungen wo wir zb authentisch und gut Essen gehen können! Wir können die Unterkunft für Familien oder kleinere Gruppen, die Ihre Ruhe haben möchten und dennoch kurze Wege zu Stränden und Restaurants suchen, wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We had the best time! Maria was so friendly and everything was perfect. We were even invited to eat dinner with them and had a blast. We were 14 people and we had plent of space for us all. It was clean and we even got new towels in the middle of the week which we did not expect. Would absolutely recommend staying there.

Ήταν όλα τέλεια! Ένα όμορφο μέρος που προσφέρει ακριβώς αυτά που υπόσχεται. Κοντά στην πόλη της Ιεράπετρας για οτιδήποτε χρειαστεί αλλά κ αρκετά και ταυτόχρονα ήσυχο ώστε να προσφέρει την ηρεμία που χρειάζεται κάποιος για να ξεκουραστεί.

Stayed with a group of friends for a week and had a great time. Faidra was quick to respond and proactive throughout our stay, providing all sorts of helpful recommendations. The villa was spacious with a great pool and barbecue ready to roll. It’s located in a quiet area so you’ll need a car, although within walking distance you can get to a few local shops, a lovely taverna, an olive oil mill (would recommend a tasting) and, if you want to give the driver a day off, a winery about half an hour hike away. All told, was a great base for exploring this part of Crete and fantastic value.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property—it was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group of five. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was a huge plus, and we really enjoyed the pool and outdoor seating areas. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the views of the surrounding area were lovely. The location is peaceful and quiet, away from the noise of the city, but still just a short drive to several great beaches. The host, George, was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. He explained how to use the smart panel to turn on the boiler for hot water when he met us at the property, but we didn’t follow the instructions as closely as we should have the first morning, which caused the water to be cold. The boiler runs for 30 minutes at a time and seems to rely on solar heating, so hot water can be limited if multiple people shower back-to-back. Turning on the boiler in advance and spacing out showers made a big difference. Highly recommend this place!

The villa was excellent! We enjoyed a wonderful stay here in the glorious secluded Cretan mountains. Some things we thought were excellent: -very spacious master bedrooms -excellent pool area, bar and outdoor dining area, including barbecue -incredible views over the sea -great parking -felt very secure Some things we thought could be better: -some minor things broken (like door handles and windows), but we did stay at the end of the season and imagine they will be fixed before the next peak period -slippy floors that could be dangerous when wet -water pressure in the upstairs showers wasn’t great -kitchen is on the small side Also the villa manager Dimitris was very hospitable, responsive and friendly. And there was also a lovely cat that befriended us (we called her Lesley) who we all took a shine to. All in all we really enjoyed our time at Villa Bella Elena and would recommend it highly to large groups or families.

We adored our stay and are so grateful to the owner, Ana Luisa, Marilou, Maria and the team for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Beautiful, remote location. (You’ll need to hire a car). Stunning house and design elements. And such a thoughtful range of help on offer - massages, food, cleaning, etc. Would highly recommend and hope to return. A real gem in a less touristy part of Crete. Quick drive to some amazing mountain towns, and not too far from the airport. Great for families. Enormous thanks!

We had a wonderful 5-day vacation at the villa. The property was stunning! It was tastefully designed, offering full privacy, and was super clean. We used the brick oven to make pizza and also enjoyed the pool. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Pandelis, the owner, was very responsive to all of our requests and questions. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic villa, we couldnt have asked for more. The house is amazing and immaculate with everything you could need. Elina was the perfect host and went above and beyond and was proactive with extra information and tips. We couldnt have asked for a more welcoming and warm host. 5 star house with a 5 star host. we will be back.

Chouette maison, très agréable pour 8 personnes. La vue est incroyable, les terrasses magnifiques et la piscine très belle! Malgré que nous y étions en décembre, nous avons pu déjeuner et dîner sur la terrasse et utiliser le bbq (qui était nettoyé tous les jours!) et même la pisicine. Il y a une petite plage à 10 minutes à pied. Agios est à 5-10 minutes en voiture. Ionna a été très acceuillante, réactive et très aidante. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

This was an absolutely gorgeous property. It was spacious, well-maintained, and offered beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. The pool and garden are beautiful. This property also felt private while being a short drive to the downtown area with all the shops, restaurants, and the beach. Would 100% recommend this property!

De communicatie vooraf was uitstekend. We kregen op tijd de vraag of we boodschappen wilden bestellen welke keurig voorafgaand aan aankomst zijn geleverd. Villa is wat lastig te vinden met de gps coördinaten die in de airbnb omschrijving staan. Gelukkig was de hulp van Georgios erg goed en hielp hij ons snel ter plekke te komen. Als je op google maps "Villa of the Hill" invult kom je gemakkelijk op de juiste plek uit. De locatie zelf is fantastisch! Super goed onderhouden, prachtige omgeving, fijn verwarmd zwembad, buiten douche en prachtige buiten keuken waar we goed gebruik van hebben gemaakt. Georgios is een geweldige gastheer. Hij had een heerlijke borrelplank voor ons klaarstaan bij aankomst en bracht op ons de laatste dag een lekkere lunch gekookt door zijn moeder. Hij was altijd beschikbaar voor vragen en gaf ons veel goede tips over restaurants en leuke dingen om in de buurt te doen. We voelden ons zeer welkom en gaan graag eens terug!

Das Haus liegt ruhig auf einem Hügel oberhalb des Ortes. Man ist ungestört und hat eine tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse und dem Garten. Allerdings war es beim ersten Mal schwierig, den richtigen Weg zu finden. Wir sind jedoch auch spät angekommen und es war schon stockdunkel. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Check-in und check-out waren super einfach. Unser Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend. Zum Einstand gab es ein nettes und leckeres Gastgebergeschenk. Als der Staubsauger kaputt war, hat er ihn abgeholt und ein paar Tage später repariert zurück gebracht. Die Villa liegt etwas erhöht mit Blick auf den Infinity-Pool, den zugehörigen Olivenhain und Malia. Die Aussicht ist herrlich. Man ist einsam (bis auf die Grillen), aber trotzdem innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt, wo es neben mehreren Supermärkten, ganz vielen Restaurants, direkt bei der Kirche einen Bäcker mit leckeren Kuchen und Baguette / Brötchen / Croissants gibt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es ist schön eingerichtet, mit Dekoration, vielen Bilder und Büchern (auch welchen in Deutsch). Es gibt einen Kicker, den wir gerne genutzt haben. Der Pool ist herrlich, etwa 1,40 m tief (unser Sohn ist 1,44 m groß und konnte auf Zehen stehend den Kopf über Wasser halten. Der Pool ist vielleicht 6 m x 3,50 m groß. Das ist nur geschätzt. Uns hat er gereicht. Schön ist, dass häufig trotz der 30 - 32 Grad Celsius ein leichter Wind ging, so dass es viel Spass gemacht hat, sich im und um den Pool aufzuhalten. Unser Mietauto konnten wir unter einem Johannisbrotbaum auf dem Grundstück parken, so dass es immer im Schatten war. Wir können den Aufenthalt in der Villa Verde sehr empfehlen.

De villa had alles wat we ervan verwacht hadden en meer. We hebben heel erg genoten van ons verblijf. De gezellige dorpjes met hun lekkere tabernas en de nabije kust met de mooie stranden, zijn een aanrader.

Rien à signaler hormis l’emplacement qui nécessite 40 minutes de route pour arriver en ville. À par cela le logement est idéalement placé et très bien équipé.

Nice hosts and super responsive Nice but not necessary to have a car. Shops and restaurants nearby. Good base for trips around the eastern part of Crete
