Cozy Country Cottage

Come stay in our ​cozy cottage located down a country lane. Part of the Ponder farm dating back to 1906, we have a little house that offers a peaceful environment overlooking the family farm with a picturesque old barn, surrounded by tree lined fields. Enjoy the updated home with fully furnished kitchen, queen bed, and open front and back porches for relaxing in the quiet countryside. We are located just south of Sherman off Hwy 11, close to Austin College, with easy access to Highway 75.

A pack ’n play and twin mattress are available for added flexibility. Enjoy our shared breezeway porch with an outdoor fireplace and peaceful views into our wooded 12-acre backyard. Perfect for wedding weekends, lake trips, or a quiet countryside escape. Also well-suited for comfortable long-term stays.

The Vineyard Loft

The Vineyard Loft offers all the comforts of home. The studio style apartment has a kitchenet, open living area, and separate entrance. Take a walk in the country, pick some blackberries, enjoy wine tasting at a local vineyard, or shopping and restaurants in Celina located just minutes away (see Guide Book). The Vineyard Loft is one of two Airbnb Venues located on the 3-acre Blackberry Patch property. Check out our other venue (Blackberry Cottage). Book both venues for a larger group.

Country Escape on 60 acres with Pond &Tiki Island

Escape into paradise. While attached to the main house, it has its own entrance and is separated by a large enclosed shared space featuring an outdoor dining area, cozy outdoor living area, and pool table—ideal for relaxing or entertaining. Step outside to explore the property: a pond with a private island complete with a tiki bar and fire pit—ideal for weddings, retreats, or family gatherings. Horses, chickens, and geese roam the grounds, adding to the peaceful country charm.

The quiet and private guest house is tucked behind a large historic home south of downtown Sherman, TX. It is traditional in design and decor. The kitchen features metal cabinets with double drain board sink and decorative finish. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with upgraded HVAC. The house is a mile south of downtown Sherman in an eclectic walkable neighborhood. The stately homes of Heritage Row are just a few blocks away. Austin College is less than a two mile drive.
