wonderful! Don't miss. Highlights: bed extremely comfortable, great hot water and shower pressure, washer/dryer; we cooked fresh fish every night (but could have eaten it raw): from Kona Seafood Market and Choice Mart. Don't miss the view, carrot cake, Ono fish sandwich and EVERYTHING at Coffee shack cafe. Loved the Kayak rental on the corner, we saw the dolphins at Captain Cook and snorkled at 2 step beach every day! We slept so well! Even through roosters and Coqui frog (everywhere on the island). Thank you Rusty for use of the snorkling equipment - including wetsuits and EVERYTHING!

We had a wonderful stay here! The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed to prepare our own meals. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus for us to be able to clean our clothes after long days hiking or at the beach. The location feels private and the view is stunning. We loved hearing the Coqui frogs calling at night and the birds singing in the morning. Our son loved searching for (and easily finding) geckos amongst the beautiful plants on the property. We had one very minor issue during our stay and the host was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed just one quick night here after landing on the island. It was a great little space. Very clean, seemed brand new, convenient to town, and you could see the ocean from the cute front porch. The bed was very soft, like a cloud you melted into. Normally I don't like soft beds but this one was nice. It is a stand alone space but wasn't quite as private/secluded as I thought. In case someone wanted more privacy, but it wasn't an issue for us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We loved Robert's place. It is located in a quiet neighborhood on the hills (about 1200 feet elevation), straight up from the airport. It is a great location to explore the island - 10-15 minute drive to Kailua-Kona town (store & restaurants); the beaches to the north of Kona are easy to reach (I think the closest one we drove to was about 15-20 minutes); great coffee farm to visit about 10 minute drive away (Mountain Thunder), two hours to Volcano National Park (we did a day trip) and slightly less than two hour drive to the Green Sand Beach hike. Robert and Fran live upstairs. They are super friendly and ready to help, but let you do your own thing. The house is well-equipped and Robert has beach supplies that he shared with us. Great ocean and sunset view too. No AC but the temp felt just right given the elevation. We would love to go back!

Would highly recommend this place to stay!! Very clean and tranquil. The hospitality of Hannah was greatly appreciated. Communication was great and the ease of directions was amazing.

We were travel weary after a missed flight and long wait at the airport, arriving to the treehouse was stepping into a peaceful paradise. Surrounded by lush, tropical foliage and birdsong, we couldn't have asked for a more calming setting. Keiko met us and gave us a tour of all the amenities, she was warm and welcoming which helped us feel at home. The location was great and we were a quick drive to all the things a human could need. Keiko's dinner recommendation was superb and we came back to rest our weary bones in a comfortable bed with an immersion in the night sounds of frogs. We woke to birdsong and a spectacular view of the Pacific. The treehouse ticked all of our boxes: nature, wildlife, peace, proximity to restaurants/beaches/snorkeling/shopping, privacy and comfort. It was an absolute joy to stay in this treehouse and it's a space that is truly loved. Keiko and James are exemplify what it means to 'host'. Oh, and the coffee was out of this world, really the best on the planet

Loved staying at Chris and Karla’s! Our boys not only enjoyed the pool but all the little wildlife around. Us adults loved the ease of the bnb, it had all the things we needed for a great family vacation. Close to everything we wanted to see and the road was great to run/walk in the morning. Chris and Karla are great hosts, they think ahead of so many little things that make your stay more pleasant. Would highly recommend this place to stay!

Great location in the Kona area. Super close to Da Poke Shack (amazing food) and Magic Sands (cute beach). And Na Na is extremely friendly and helpful!

Mike and Melissa (and Sheryl!) are wonderful hosts, and their place is spacious and comfortable—me and my dog, Margot, felt instantly at home. They were super friendly with great recommendations, and the apartment is private and quiet, yet super convenient to town and all of Kona’s lovely beaches. Would recommend to anybody!

We had such an incredible stay at Guava Cottage. It felt like home, the space was well-appointed and we loved the garden and pool. Hosts were very helpful, friendly and gave us plenty of personal space. Pet’s on site were a special treat! Highly recommend staying here.

Amanda’s place is the perfect retreat for anyone that wants to experience the island like a local but also couldn’t give up on the view lol. I enjoyed my stay a lot! Making a papaya bowl with the view, working with the view, and wake up to see the most beautiful sunrise.

We felt right at home at Viktor & Julie's place, which was perfect for the three of us. The home was very comfortable and equipped with all the amenities we needed, plus a thoughtful touch with complimentary fresh fruit upon arrival. The BBQ and backyard were fantastic, offering a stunning view of the ocean sunset. The location was great, with a short drive to a beautiful beach for snorkeling and close proximity to the Captain Cook monument. A rental car is essential, but the drive to Kona, the green sand beach, black sand beach, and Volcano National Park was relatively short and scenic. The family was friendly and respectful of our privacy. After our original lodging fell through, we made last-minute reservations, and this was my favorite spot. Would definitely stay again!

Paradise Perfected. From our first communication with Janet and Jen we felt great about staying with them. Their place was cozy and right up the street from a lovely beach. Perfect location for exploring the Big Island. Everything we needed for our time in Hawaii. Can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at Jim's place for seven nights with three people and absolutely loved it. Above all, Jim always has been extremely friendly. He even personally showed us around the apartment when we arrived and was always available for any questions. The apartment itself also completely satisfied all of our needs. It was clean, well equipped with everything we needed, spacious and had its own spacious parking lot directly in front of the building. We especially loved the patio with a nice view to the ocean, which has been a great place for breakfast and dinner. The place has been a great starting point to explore the Kona coast and the Big Island in general. Ali'i Drive is easily reachable by foot, which has some nice little stores and restaurants. Supermarkets, Starbucks, and everything else one needs are also not far away. There is also a hot tub available, which can be quit nice in the evening. Over all, we had a great time and would love to stay here again if we come back to Big Island

Hannah’s Airbnb is the perfect home base for exploring the big island. Easy check-in/check-out with clear instructions, clean space, comfy bed, and prompt communication when questions come up. Appreciated having the AC and the small things like a cooler, beach chairs, towels, etc. Her description of the place is accurate- it’s small but perfect for when you’re spending the whole day outside exploring and just need a place to sleep. Would highly recommend!

Joe was super friendly and easy to communicate with. The pool and hot tub are as amazing as they look in photos! The landscaping is beautiful and we had the entire outdoor area completely to ourselves the entire time.

We loved our stay at Julya's place! The lanai is everything! I will definitely try to stay here next time I'm in Kona.

We really enjoyed staying at Paula and Jerry’s place! The air bnb was exactly what was listed and pictured and more! It was extremely clean and felt very homey. It was honestly a struggle to get up every morning ‘cause the bed was so comfortable. The shower also felt amazing after a long day filled with activities. We really appreciate that they provided beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas.. pretty much all you need when planning to spend a day at the beach. The laundry was a plus too! Paula was also very accomodating. She was very fast to respond. On our last day, it started raining pretty hard and she provided us with two umbrellas. Very sweet and thoughtful. Really made our stay worth it. Definitely recommend!

A quiet, cool spot to get away from the crowds and beach area. We enjoyed the temp drop when you climb in elevation to the house. The area seemed very safe and I never worried about theft or trouble. Nice area with nice people around the house. You will be about 20 minutes from Costco and are at a central starting point to go north or south. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the house other than to sleep and be out enjoying the Big Island.

This is the BEST Airbnb we have ever stayed at!!! The quality of each and all of it was excellent! It is absolutely beautiful inside and out with windows and screen doors you can leave open for island breezes. There are helpful perks everywhere you turned, from fresh fruit to snacks, the use of body board and beach chairs and towels, and full kitchen. We cannot give this place enough stars! The sunset view was gorgeous. . There is privacy in the lush surroundings and obvious super safe neighborhood while being only a few minutes from the airport, Walmart, Costco, restaurants and shops plus beautiful beaches, make this the ideal location! Hosts were super communicative, proactive and we so appreciate not having a cleaning fee added on! I would take hours listing all the extra perks that helped us be able to just enjoy this vacation! We see why this was one of the highest rated Airbnbs around! They deserve 10 stars 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩!!!
