Was very inspired sitting in the garden. Even woke in the morning and sat in the. Window ledge with the window slightly open and took in the view and the sound of the water. Sitting in the garden and listening to the birds. Exploring the grounds. Even taking a cold plunge / shower in the waterfall beneath the bridge. Felt very inspired. The cottage was warm. Cosy. The only down side… we had to leave the next day. Definitely returning and I’m going to book my parents a stay there too. They would love it.

A perfect relaxing stay at Lizzy’s Cottage, very clean, quiet, serene and Harrison was a really responsive and helpful host. Lots of lovely little touches around the cottage. Would highly recommend!

Peaceful, relaxing, removed but not remote, 40 minutes but home but felt like a proper little holiday. There were instructions on how to care for the property so you don't damage anything, and recommendations for places to go / things to see. I'd suggest my own for future visitors, Maxey's Farm Shop. This was a lovely place as a home base for adventures and relaxing afterwards, we will be bearing it in mind for future short breaks.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The one-bedroom space was incredibly spacious and well laid out, with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The private garden was huge and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub—it felt like our own little retreat. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole stay even more relaxing. Highly recommend for a cosy, private getaway!

My daughter's and I really enjoyed our short Easter break. The location was so peaceful and beautiful. A much needed retreat from Birmingham. We made full use of the wonderfully relaxing hot tub. We enjoyed a meal out at The Ship Inn and several walks along the river. We took a walk to The Severn Valley Visitors Centre and caught the steam train back from the Country Park Halt. A lovely afternoon out. We recommend this Airbnb and hope yo visit again in the future.

We had a fantastic short break in Peak District and Jack's cottage was the perfect place to stay. Very quiet, peaceful spot in the lovely village of Brassington, but central if you're looking to visit Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had everything you need - including robes for when you get out of the hot tub! We didn't find parking an issue at all, with plenty of street parking just up the hill towards the Miners Arms pub. Speaking of pubs, the Miners Arms (which is the closest pub to the cottage) appeared to have closed down, but we'd highly recommend The Old Gate Inn which is a little further (3-less than 5 min walk), but has large garden, good ales and great food. Natalie and her husband are friendly, quick to respond to any queries and offered advice on local walks and places to go. Would love to stay at Jack's cottage again, perhaps in the winter with the log burner going!

Just had a fantastic short break in this Parwich cottage. Stunning gardens and surroundings. The cottage has everything you need and more. We parked the car and from the cottage cycled the High Peak and Tissington Trails. Warm and cosy accommodation set in a quiet village with a great pub 2 minutes away. Caroline is a genuine host with your comfort and convenience always a priority. The photographs don’t do this cottage justice. It really is a beautiful place. What can be better after a good walk or cycle than visit the pub then end the evening looking at the stars from the hot tub in the garden ? We will certainly be back, the sooner the better. We had a lovely time staying in Jane's house (5 adults, 1 four-year-old). The house is bigger than you'd expect from the photos, especially the kitchen, which made prepping meals very easy, and some of the bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and the house is cosy and warm. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby (we'd particularly recommend Robin Hood's Stride - great for kids). We felt right at home here and would happily come back again!

This lovely cottage is perfect for a weekend with friends. We sit in the kitchen for hours and just talk! Comfy living room and bedrooms. Love the big rainfall shower. Nice little garden, but was a bit cold to sit outside for long.

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

Helen was on hand (or at the end of an email) with helpful advice and suggestions from the minute we booked until the time we checked out. Great location just 5 mins walk to the town centre and a great selection of pubs and restaurants, but away from the crowds so very peaceful. They obviously have an eye for interior design as every detail was perfect. The extra touches were amazing (sachets of lovely face cream, home made granola (honestly the best I’ve ever eaten), delicious macarons, fresh organic milk, a bottle of wine, fresh baked bread, Easter chocolates around the place …… the list goes on). I honestly can’t think of a single thing that would have improved our stay. Impeccable.

Lovely place, ideally located. Beds very comfy. Log burner was great and kicked out a lot of heat. Great pub a stones throw and a chippy. Nice touches with the bath salts and lovely smelling soap. DON’T forget your towels!

This was our second visit to this lovely cosy cottage which is comfortable and well equipped. This time the weather allowed us to enjoy the lovely outdoor space which was a sun trap. The cottage is walking distance to the village centre amenities and both the Devonshire arms and Charles Cotton Pubs. We returned to enjoy the cycling in the area and it is very close to both the Tissington trail and the start of the Manifoild trail at Hulme End. The garage was a big plus to store our E-bikes and cycle carrier safely and securely.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Allie’s cosy cottage in such a beautiful spot in the peaks! The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and full of charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The view from the kitchen was stunning... and a real bonus was getting to say hi to the lambs on the farm, which made the experience even more special. It is the perfect base for some beautiful hikes in the Peak District, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside escape. Thank you, Allie! - Jeremy and Amelia

We loved staying in this idyllic location. The garden was great for the dogs to run around in and we got to go on walks in the peak district. Judy is so lovely and the place was spotless. We would love to come again.

The house was as described. On arrival it was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of room. Very comfortable with nice outside space. Well located to access the surrounding attractions. Lots of walking and the village has earring and drinking establishments. I highly recommend

Clear and detailed instructions from Joanne as to how to get to the property, very friendly and responsive. Really clean, quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Perfect location for Alton Towers, where we were going and way better value than others nearby. Thank you x

A lovely cottage, well appointed and very comfortable. Set on a farm but very peaceful with lots of wildlife including deer and badgers. Good facilities and well located for Leamington, Kenilworth and Coventry. Ideal for families visiting Warwick Uni students, like we did. Sally is a great host and we wouldn't hesitate to go back. We saw Millie through the window but Mabel didn't get to say hello.

Had a brilliant Easter Weekend at Rods cottage! We were able to park our car and get in and out of Winster easily as needed. Loved the Miners & Bowling Green pubs for meals and drinks, an easy walk to and from the cottage. Enjoyed the gorgeous garden when the sun cleared up, beautiful outlook. The cottage itself was exactly the English Countryside Experience us Aussies were after, so beautiful, well kept, and well decorated. Would definitely come back to Winster!!!! The only thing I'd say is remember to duck if you're over 5'11 as we knocked heads a couple of times in the doorways downstairs!
