Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

This home was exactly what we needed - a beautiful, relaxing space with wonderful views. Every home along the private road is lovely - the azaleas in bloom during our April stay were stunning! The house itself was clean and had every amenity. The outdoor space was fantastic! We enjoyed our time sitting and rocking and looking at the river. We drove in to Williamsburg twice. It was a bit of a drive, but was worth it. Gloucester is a cute town and we did a little shopping & eating. Don’t hesitate to book this home!

Really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back. Airbnb was central and just a stone throw to the beach. We had a toddler and it was very safe and comfortable. We brought a travel crib but they did have one actually in the closet for us which was excellent, coffee was great also. Went for dinner at the Willoughby fish house which was 5 minutes away and really enjoyed it! I absolutely recommend this stay and I imagine we will book again.

Everything was wonderful, easy to get in, and our host John was very helpful and friendly. Hotub was clean no trash in the yards felt just like home. comfortable beds the walkway to the beach was very private enjoyed that as well. Overall our stay was amazing and would love to be able to stay there again. We had so much fun <3 provided us with some detergent to wash clothes I thought that was thoughtful.

This old log cabin school house, this was one of the most amazing experiences our family has ever had in an Airbnb. The history in this home is something like I’ve never witnessed before in my life. You can feel the love that has been poured into this unique stay. It felt like home with endless bonuses found throughout the home, carriage house and property. Richard was an incredible host and this was by far the most personable experience we have ever had in all our years using Airbnb. You can feel the peacefulness this place offers from the moment you turn onto the driveway. The sunsets are breathtaking and we saw deer, turkey and a ton of other wildlife daily. One night right after sunset my husband caught a 24” speckled trout! Our four children, ages 12, 9, 4 and 1, all had a blast. We brought a baby gate for the living room/kitchen doorways and it was perfect! Downtown Mathews is adorable and we loved the visitor center. Definitely check this place out if you have the opportunity ?

Our trip to The Half Shell Haven was great! The place was clean, extremely well stocked, and included many extras! We had crazy weather the first two days, but we had plenty to do at the house. My boys loved being on the water and the game room and my daughter loved the hot tub and bicycling. My daughters service dog enjoyed a nice reprieve and seemed so happy. We had a great time, and were honestly sad to go! If we find ourselves back up in Virginia we will definitely stay here! Thank you for the care and attention to detail to ensure a great trip!

To say this house was a dream come true would be an understatement. From the moment we drove up the long driveway and laid eyes on the picturesque setting of the red house nestled in the woods, we fell in love. My 17-year old daughter walked in and said the pictures online did it no justice and she is exactly right. The house was immaculate, with every feature you could possibly imagine. The technology throughout was unbelievable. Google Home in EVERY room. TVs with surround sound. A game room that kept us busy for hours. A karaoke machine. It was a much needed getaway. Our dogs were in heaven with the acres of land to explore on walks. I have never felt so relaxed. I just can’t say enough. I love the city of Cape Charles but honestly did not want to leave this house. The host, Dave, was so great with communicating, even before we arrived. We will definitely plan another visit here! I would say the only downside was getting carpel tunnel trying to beat high scores in the arcade room. ?

We had an amazing time at the horse farm!! It was great to wake up in such a beautiful, peaceful place, which is still only a short drive from Williamsburg and Jamestown. Plus, you can see the (rescue!) horses grazing peacefully in the pastures. Not much more you can ask for from an Airbnb!

We loved our stay at the Simple Life. Everything was exactly as the listing pictured it. While the house is on the older and smaller side compared to many of the other rentals in Sandbridge, it has clearly been impeccably maintained. We enjoyed the pool and being just two blocks from the beach, which was uncrowded. My only minor complaint is that the bunk bed in the second bedroom wasn’t super comfortable and it was very squeaky, which wasn’t ideal since I was sharing it with my sleeping newborn, and my senior mom had some trouble getting up on the bed in the primary because it was so high off the ground. But that is seriously such a minor thing. The kitchen was well-equipped and we had plenty of towels and access to a washer/dryer, which we didn’t end up using. We had a really wonderful, relaxing time and my dad commented several times he wished we could have stayed another week!

My husband and I spent a week at the beach cottage. The location is unbeatable, just steps to the beach. If you are not fond of the sand, you can sit in the porch and enjoy the view. You will not want to leave! The house was clean and exactly as pictured. Cecilio and his wife answered promptly all of my questions about places to eat and things to do. If you enjoy fishing, the Ocean View pier (longest in the State of Virginia) is just a half a mile walk from the house, or a short drive. You can rent fishing poles, buy bait, and feel like a local. You can also get some crab traps and get blue crabs. The pier has a restaurant with a nice view and a full bar. The beach right outside the house feels private. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. If you like water activities, the cottage has plenty of beach gear, including paddle boarding, and kayaks. We wanted to relax and reconnect, and this place was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommended.

Charming cottage at a family-owned, lovingly-crafted campground. It suited our needs perfectly. We traveled with our dog and all the other dogs on site were all on leashes and well-behaved. The staff was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again!

Such a great location - just a short walk from the beach. Front porch is a great place in the mornings and evenings. The dining room and living room fit our group well and we squeezed in the bedrooms (4 couples + 6 kids all 3 and under) but it was perfect since we spent most time outside anyways! Adam was super helpful and quick to respond when we needed a few items. Would definitely visit again!

An absolute oasis! We unfortunately had a very rainy time during our stay, but had a blast fishing and swimming in between the storms. And just a short drive from the beach when the sun did shine! Kayaks, pool floats, a grill, all the little details were provided. Dawn answered any questions we had while staying and was accommodating when we couldn’t stay the required length! A couple things to note: The small wood dock pictured is no longer there. A little bit of a bummer but just some muddy shoes when fishing and harder to get in and out of the kayaks. The conventional oven does not work. A ninja air fryer oven is provided but is obviously a bit smaller, so a sheet pan dinner or something of the sort is not an option. I would also recommend bringing tinfoil for the baking tray in the ninja (especially if you want to make cookies!) as it is more of a wire rack. Both of those things still left us with an incredible vacation but just wanted to note for guests! Would book again!

Great location for visiting historical Williamsburg and surrounding locations with historical significance. The porch and back deck are very relaxing for coffee or cold beverages. The inside is comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. The entire house was fantastically CLEAN, well decorated and maintained. We hope we will be back! Thank you for a great stay!

Our stay at this property was truly an amazing getaway. The breathtaking views and stunning sunrises from the porch were a daily delight. The home is exactly as described and absolutely beautiful. We felt like we were at home. Each room is uniquely decorated. The doors opening up from the upstairs living room to the porch outside with a comfortable couch was so wonderful. We enjoyed the quietness Beach Music offered. We look forward to coming back soon one day.

Me and my wifes stay at the Crash Pad was amazing. The house was extra clean, and it had everything needed for a great stay. Can wait to get back. Great location.
