Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. The result is Japanese craftsmanship at its best and we are very proud to be able to share the result with the rest of the world. Check our other house as an alternate option @ Reikaku Kiyomizu-Gojo

kyoto villa soso (Near Kyoto station)

《May 2019 TV can be watched.》 It is located 15 minutes on foot from Kyoto station. It will be lent to a Kyoto townhouse style building. I put the finest furniture and the finest bed. You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

“Tsubara”-calm traditional Kyoto Machiya house

Tubara is in the Higashiyama in Kyoto. You can go to so many sights (Kiyomizu temple, Kenninji temple, Yasaka shrine, Fushimiinaritaisha, Gion area, Kamo river, downtown..) on foot! Also very convenient for tranceportation. bytaxi from KYoto st. Tsubara was 100y old Machiya, we lovely restored all possible to original style using antique fittings & materials by traditional craftsmanship. We love Tsubara, we hope the guests too! Outdoor bath & Suikinkutsu make amazing time for you.

Birodo-an is ideally located near the Kodaiji Temple, in a quiet and historical area. Several tourist attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Gion Geisha district, and Sannenzaka are within walking distance. ※Futons are provided for bookings of three or more guests. ※Children under 6 years old stay free when sharing a bed (no bedding or amenities provided) Check-in details will be sent via message prior to your stay. Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Why not try experiencing a bit of Kyoto life? Please note that we will charge a local accommodation tax (200 yen per person per night) in addition to the accommodation fee. The price is scheduled to increase from March 2026.

[Gion no Yado] is located a short distance from the main street. Please relax in a Kyoto-style old private house. The exterior retains the atmosphere of old-fashioned Japan, while the interior has been renovated with a slightly modern atmosphere. 五条坂近くのリノベーション京町家です。 築百年の京町家を、古き良き時代の風情を愉しむゲストハウスにしました。 消臭・調湿効果のある珪藻土、檜や杉などの無垢材を使用し、仕上げにまでこだわった贅沢自然素材リノベーションです。杉の無垢材を天井全面に敷き詰め、柱や框や巾木など細部にも檜の無垢材を用いるなど、本物の自然素材の心地よさが感じられ、檜の香りが満ちあふれる空間になっています。 京阪電車清水五条駅4番出口徒歩約6分、京都を代表する観光地清水寺近くの「東山の六原・清水エリア」にあります。清水寺をはじめ、建仁寺・安井金比羅宮・六波羅蜜寺・宮川町・祇園などの観光地は徒歩圏です。

This is a nice place to visit Kyoto, just near the river Shirakawa, a really nice place sometimes used for movies or series. The house is near Chioin, Kodaiji, Higashiyama, Yasaka shrine. Just near the house, there is an old market where you can buy and eat Japanese food.
