Centrally located between the two units of Acadia National Park (Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula) and the beautiful, quiet lakes and mountains of the Donnell Pond Maine State Preserve. Although not on the water, there is access to our private Taunton Bay shore, 3.5 miles away.

This sweet bungalow is located on a tucked-away organic farm, 45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, and directly abutting the Downeast Sunrise Trail and thousands of acres of conservation land. Newly crafted space with pine interior and cork flooring. For folks who appreciate simple living but want a cozy bed! Cot available for third person. Full size mattress, all bedding, stove with oven, pots, pans and dishes, small fridge and sawdust based composting toilet (on back porch)

Desert Island hosting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, camp fires and cook some lobstah enjoying all the privacy you can handle.

See Bald Eagles, Osprey and other wildlife from the kitchen table. Bring your kayaks to explore the bay or your bikes to enjoy Acadia or The Downeast Sunrise Trail. We are 10 miles from Ellsworth, 26 miles to Bar Harbor, 20 miles to Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park.
