Shelley & Graham were amazing hosts, incredibly welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. They made our stay in Paihia feel like home away from home, and the guest suite was more than we could have expected ! We will definitely be staying there next time we are in town !

Doves Bay was a wonderful place to unwind. Such a treat to wake up to the beautiful view. We loved having breakfast on the deck in the morning sun, watching the tuis and fantails flit through the garden. Even heard kiwis calling at night, and the stars on a clear night are incredible. There’s a lovely walk down to the beach. Ivan and Vivienne were lovely, thoughtful hosts and the place was well-equipped, superbly clean and very comfortable.

Antje's place is a real gem. It is ideally located for exploring the Bay of Islands and is super comfortable. Antje is a wonderful host, with many local recommedations. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Highly recommended!

What a fabulous place to stay! A beautiful location overlooking the bay. We saw two orca in the bay on our first night, which was amazing. The accommodation is wonderful. Fabulous furnishings with beautiful sculptures and art on the walls. We arrived to find a selection of wines, chocolates, home-made biscuits and granola, as well as some wonderful ham, cheese, OJ and other useful fridge staples. Communication with Heather was great, with plenty of helpful information about the local area. Absolutely perfect - thank you!

Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waimiro. The apartment is spacious, well-planned and equipped - also modern and spotless with the most stunning sea views. It was a joy to immerse ourselves into this peaceful location from the deck, be it on the relaxing lounger or with drinks at the table. Jane provided an expansive and useful welcome pack including visitor recommendations. We really enjoyed our day walking along the beach into Paihia, taking the foot ferry to Russell, climbing to the outlook at Flagstaff Hill, swimming at Long Beach - winding up with a fish and chip finale on the beach back at Paihia! Last but not least, Jane is the perfect host; welcoming, interesting, warm and helpful. Our sincere thanks to her and Dave. Our one regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

The location is perfect, just a few meters from the beach. We really enjoy the balcony and the spaciousness of the apartment. While it is starting to show its age and could benefit from some renovations soon, it is still in good living condition. The host couple is very friendly.

The view is simply wonderful, whether it be on the deck with a glass of wine or as you wake up in the morning. It’s exactly as you see in the pictures as well as lovely bird song and distant sound of waves breaking. The bed was also incredibly comfortable.

Superb stay with Gayle! A short drive into town, and a peaceful location. Everything needed was at hand including a coffee machine to fuel the mornings. Everything as described and excellent communication. Would definitely be back :)

Our stay at Three Ferns was the perfect escape in the long weekend break, going above and beyond our expectations. This elegant place is spacious, private and thoughtfully curated, with comforting treats provided by Mary. The surrounding nature made us feel very grounded and relaxed. The pictures in the listing are exactly as they are in real life - it truly is spectacular and delightful! Our trip was interrupted by our car unexpectedly breaking down, and Mary was incredibly kind and helpful in assisting us - picking us up, dropping us off and even providing us with a delicious pumpkin soup! Thank you Mary for being such an absolutely amazing host, you really are a lovely human being and we appreciate all your support while we were there. We hope to be back sometime again, and would definitely recommend this stay to our family, friends and anyone wanting a 5 star experience.

We were extremely comfortable here in this apartment and the attention to detail in accommodating guests was excellent. We fully appreciated the excellent design of the place, including the layout, the double glazed windows and doors, the lighting and the beautifully appointed kitchen. The filtered water from the fridge was an absolute bonus. We both agreed that the beds were among the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and the outlook was lovely. The large verandah gave us a really great sense of space. We loved staying here and would have been happy to stay longer.

Wow, what an incredible slice of paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is tastefully decorated and we felt at home right away. We loved morning coffee on the front deck looking out to the sea, walking down the road to the beach for swims and to paddleboard around the lagoon. Our toddler had so much fun in the outdoor bath and there is wildlife galore. We will definitely be back to Te Tii and the gorgeous house.

We got in late and left early, so wasnt to phased about quality. It was cheap, warm and comfortable

The apartment is in a great location with excellent views and in a peaceful location. It is well stocked with all the essentials for a long or short stay. Mark was able to give excellent recommendations for a day trip north and for local beaches. We stayed with our family and would highly recommend. It was lovely listening to the ocean and seeing the ever changing scenery. Local shop is 10min walk just along the beach and carries bread and milk, the essential ice cream, great food and takeaways and some great locally produced items.

Lovely place nestled in the hills of Russell. Little drive into the main town but nice relaxed area. Place was spacious. There are a few other rooms but not really an issue. Views are great.

Great location - walkable to Paihia waterfront but away from the bustle of the main road. It was very clean and had everything we needed including kitchen utensils. The bathroom was nice and spacious with the spa being a very nice bonus.

Back home in Wellington but wish I was still at Paul and Nuttha's. Paul and Nuttha were great hosts and their place was amazing; gorgeous garden, good location and an immaculately presented place that was comfortable with all the trimmings. The beds were so comfy it was easy to drop off after a day of sightseeing. Excellent amenities (bathroom, kitchen, tea/coffee & breakfast stuff, parking, TV etc.). Paul and Nuttha are thoughtful hosts who were welcoming, accommodating and generous. Nuttha's cakes are the best and Paul's tips on what to see and do are saved us a lot of time. We were even able to pick persimmons to take home and Paul let us take cuttings from his garden! Will definitely book again if I'm up there again in the future. Thank you Paul and Nuttha for the lovely stay!

Room with a view for sure! It’s right on a very pretty beach, but up a few stairs so there’s privacy. The room is very spacious, it’s good a great little kitchen at one end, and a modern bathroom. There’s a nice patio to sit out on and enjoy the view, would recommend for those wanting a beach space.

Great place, fantastic views, and the hot tub was very useful for relaxing after a hard days touring. Andrew was very friendly and helped explain lots of things. Just be mindful of the 30 stairs up from the garage to the unit..... If it's available next time we visit we will be back.
