This was my first booking with Airbnb so I didnt really know what to expect but Mel has certainly set the standard. She is a friendly, helpful, honest, and incredibly responsive host. The house was exactly as described and the quiet location was perfect for us. We'll definitely stay again when we return to Mersea Island, which was beautiful too!

This house is delightful, and I would strongly recommend it - it was everything and more. The bedrooms are charming, the kitchen is wonderful, the rooms are impressive, and the garden is superb. This was an absolutely perfect stay. The house is enormous yet homely, beautifully appointed and with the most breathtaking views. The pool and spa are an added bonus and the path down to the beach / estuary is gorgeous. All in all an absolutely fabulous place and we will be back. Thank you xxx

David and Jo were excellent hosts. Every little detail had been carefully thought out, and taken care of. They were extremely kind and thoughtful throughout our stay, and could not have been more helpful. The cottage itself is so charming, and beautifully presented. Quiet and peaceful, a perfect haven to come back to. We will most definitely be back.

Had a fantastic stay. Location was perfect. House had everything we needed with loads of extras. The kids really appreciated the toys and books in particular. We’ll definitely look to stay again next time we’re visiting

Beautiful tiny house in a great location. Lovely to see the animals and have chickens and peacocks roaming around freely. Wonderful little place.

Mark was a gracious and responsive host. Mark pro-actively checked- in with me regarding the comfort and satisfaction of the flat. The flat was clean, comfortable and as pictured. The location felt safe and is an idea location close to the train and within walking distance to lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. Should I return to Southend-On-Sea, I would book again.

Beautiful setting, clean room - just what we needed for a brief stay during a wedding. Great communication and pretty setting, would recommend!

The apartment has character, exactly as shown in the photos. The neighbourhood is residential, with houses next to each other. As the houses do not have garages, the street tends to be filled with cars, which can make parking a bit challenging. The cafés and restaurants nearby are excellent. I recommend following Liza's tips.

Our stay with Paul was exceptional from start to finish. Paul gave us such a warm welcome and tour of the property. The place was laid out and designed brilliant and Paul has thought of everything from muffin's and prosecco to the hair straighteners You can tell Paul takes a lot of pride in hosting and the stay was absolutely perfect in a beautiful set with beautiful surroundings Very very good value for money..I would expect to pay alot more for what we had We will definitely be back very soon

Ivy was an outstanding host. Her communications were fast and she was really helpful. The stay was great, an easy to find location and exactly as described. Everything was clean and all our needs were met. The location is easily walkable to the nearest tube station and yet really quiet so we had a really peaceful nights sleep. Overall I highly recommend booking here and we will certainly be returning guests. A 10 out of 10 experience from start to finish.

This is already my second time here so that is saying something. Only that this time i took the bigger cabin. Serene, clean, fresh air, a getaway much needed for my little family, facilities are top notch. We did the nature trail activity which was a good walk around the area. Love the place!

Vikki-Jo was attentively welcoming with the most efficient responsiveness we've experienced on Airbnb. The cabin was roomy, rustic and perfect for us. The hot tub toasty warm and spotless. We had a little spider friend in the shower room who popped his head out to say hi occasionally, but we liked them. It was totally private away from the main property and everything was as described. The whole stay was a perfect experience from the moment we booked right up to the moment we left. This is how Airbnb should be done. A true 5 star experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think it was competitively priced for a stay with a hot tub which we enjoyed after walking around Colchester Zoo all day. Thank you Vikki-Jo for our wonderful stay 💐

This hideaway was perfect for myself to take time to retreat and rest away from the bustle of life. I needed peace & quiet and this delivered. Scenic surroundings, lots of open space and highland cows as my neighbours was just what I needed. If you love nature and want to step back from life for a few days this is a must have experience. The hideaway is spacious and comfortable with a beautiful hamper included. I will definitely be back 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thanks Jo & team for a wonderful weekend 🐂

Amanda was the perfect host for a wonderful property. We loved the fully fenced and well maintained yard, a secluded hot tub, and the great gated area. The house was equipped with all necessities. We visited the nearby pubs which were all very welcoming with great ales and food. We will definitely come back.

we loved our stay here, despite the rain! The new pagoda meant we could still enjoy the hot tub. Our little ones loved it too! Everything we needed.

Had a lovely time , wish we could have stayed longer very responsive host , very clean , not expensive and exactly as advertised. We were also running a bit late at check out time and the host graciously extended the time at no extra cost … also a cheeky bottle of Prosecco in the fridge which was a nice touch . We will be staying again

We really loved our stay at Chris's place. It was perfectly located to our plans to visit friends and family in the area. The space was very tastefully decorated, comfortable, and squeaky clean! The kitchen was very well stocked with surprise treats ready for us when we checked in. The bed was super comfortable, which we feel is the real measure of a wonderful AirBnB property. Chris was helpful and responsive, and offered help when our hire car somehow picked up a nail. Fortunately, that was resolved quickly, even on a bank holiday Monday!! Their neighbors share a common friend with us, and we felt like everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I would recommend their place if you're in the area... the village, castle, pubs, walks, and the owners' garden were lovely, and we enjoyed them all! I hope to return soon on our next visit. Such a relaxing weekend in this cabin overlooking the cows. Plenty to do in local area with kids and lots of vineyards for adults! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.
