This cabin is a gem! Our family felt right at home and loved every minute spent here. We saw amazing signs of wildlife by day and enjoyed the cozy fireplace, sauna, and stunning night sky by night. Our hosts communicated clearly with us about getting to the cabin, but it’s worth mentioning that you might need AWD to get to the cabin in winter. If you want a picture-perfect, quiet spot to recharge, this is it. Book it and enjoy!

We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing off the dock (caught a nice sized large mouth bass & panfish) and boating. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayak and screened in porch. We used the fire pit one night before the mosquitoes came out. We didn’t use the hot tub. We rented a pontoon from Brett at Island View Resort. He also sold bait, gas and a map of the lake with tips for fishing the lake. We caught crappies, bass, panfish and northern. The bunkhouse was prefect for our two boys. Our daughter enjoyed the loft room. It was nice that there were 2 fans. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked having a large electric skillet. Didn’t use the washing machine except for washing the towels before we checked out. The beds were comfortable. We also liked the large dining room table -used it to play games in the evening. We’d definitely recommend getting peanut butter twists from Pattens restaurant in Orr. It was a very relaxing vacation. We’d definitely rent it again.

This cabin was wonderful. It fulfilled our needs while we were visiting family in the area. Location on the lake provided some beautiful sunsets. The host was great for communication. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The home was so comfy with thoughtful details to make each area of the home just perfect. We loved all the special decor touches. We went to relax and got that for sure. Deer coming into the yard while we were using the outdoor hot tub was an unexpected delight.

Highly recommend, very peaceful, clean, and fair priced. Beautiful view overlooking the lake. We will be back!!

Had an absolutely fantastic time staying in Cynthia’s place. Smooth communications and checkin/out; rooms are very warm and cozy, amenities all work well, great location too. Will definitely rebook if returning in the future!

We stayed at John's place in the winter, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and well-stocked. Running the log stove and sauna were a must, as they were the only way to stay warm. We saw a wolf and many other wildlife during our stay. Snowshoeing on the nearby lakes were a highlight. The trails marked by Dave were easy to follow, along with the maps they provided. If you are looking for a peaceful trip surrounded by nature, you found the right place! Thanks to John and Dave for being so helpful and responsive.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is adorable with plenty of space around it. After reading a few reviews about the train tracks being so close I was a little concerned about safety and noise. Once we arrived I noticed that safety was not an issue as a river (stream) is located between the property and the tracks. The train runs through frequently but it didn't have a negative impact on our stay and we live in the country with no trains. Randy was very pleasant to work with and I can't say enough good things about our stay. it was a perfect fit!

It was a very well laid out two bedroom cabin. They provided ample towels, blankets, pillows and everything felt clean and comfortable. Their swing next to the lake was our favorite to watch the sun go down and have coffee in the morning. There is a nice fire ring with plenty of kindling and firewood provided! (So nice). The sauna worked well and was easy to use and warms up really fast. It was a wonderful stay, peaceful, quiet, and it felt private. We will be back for sure!!

Our young kids had so much fun! The highlights for them were definitely the swing set and the boat rental.

It was an amazing place to stay and the group and I really appreciated it. The apple crisp was super amazing too. It was so delicious. We washed the dish after we polished it off too I know you said we don’t have to but we felt obligated to.

This was exactly what was presented in the listing and exactly what our little family needed. The cabin was clean, furnished wonderfully, and right on the lake with a great view. We went up to spend time not only on the lake but also in near by cities and the location was perfect. We were able to make a day trip to Ely and visit the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear Center one day and another day visited Bear Head State Park and Sudan Underground Mine. Lynn and Asad were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were able to spend 5-7 hours swimming on the beach at the lake and used the vintage paddle boat, and kayak. It was an all around great experience and my 13 year old daughter already has asked to make this trip a tradition each year. Highly recommend.

Our trip to Crane Lake went better than we could have ever imagined. Everything was perfect. The cabin was spotless and happened to have a few of the things we forgot to bring, and then some. It has a nice large grassy area big enough for frisbee and yard games with our children and a nice fire pit with plenty of wood. It has a clean and safe dock where they delivered our rented pontoon boat the very first night. We took advantage of the 1/2 day boating trip offered. This not only helped us learn how to navigate the lakes(s) on our own for the rest of the trip, but Emily showed us a few hidden gems we most likely would have missed. The boat is a must-have as the park is only navigable by water. From spending our days cruising, cliff jumping, and exploring islands to taking advantage of quiet beaches and bays for daytime swimming, and the early morning paddle board rides on some of the calmest water I've ever seen - this trip couldn't have been more successful! We're hoping to revisit Crane Lake in the future, hopefully at this same spot.

My family and I had a great time up at Stacie’s cabin on pelican lake. The driveway was a little tight getting the boat down but wasn’t an issue. The cabin was nice and secluded from surrounding neighbors and great location in the lake. They also have a map of the lake with good notes on it for any boaters/ fisherman. Would look it over to see where to get into some fish! Would recommend staying here to anyone and hope to return back sometime soon!

Awesome cabin on a beautiful lake! The cabin is in a quiet location with great lakeside amenities. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is very well stocked. Heidi and Paul are great hosts with a quick response time to any questions. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Landy's place was a quaint, and rustic cabin in the gorgeous and pristine setting of the Northwoods. We loved waking up to the fog rising from the Lake, and having our morning coffee by the water. Described as expected, with no electricity or running water we packed as if we were tent camping and we felt prepared for our stay. Our family stayed up late by the light of kerosene lamps playing cards. It was a great bonding experience and a welcome get away from wifi and technology. The boat rental was a plus, and locals were very friendly and welcoming to us.

wonderful little rustic cabin on the lake. Michael was great with communicating and information. Perfect for a fishing trip or outdoor exploration. We ended up catching a lot of walleye not far from the cabin.

We loved our stay at Tad’s cabin on Wakemup Bay! The kitchen was fabulous, and well stocked to make cooking easy. The beds were very comfortable. When we unexpectedly lost power, Tad came to check on us. The power outage was wide spread, and due to wind… nothing to do with the cabin. Tad or Ruby replied quickly if we had a question, and communication was great. We played lots of pool, and went fishing everyday. My son was thrilled with the northern pike, walleye and small mouth bass he caught. It is great swimming off the dock, and I appreciated the stairs up to the dock! The area is quieter than other places we’ve stayed, and we really liked that. We could walk our dog right from the cabin, and there were grassy areas for her to play. We definitely would love to return next summer! Thank you Tad!
