Old Jail at St. Drogo's

The Old Lewis County Jail at St. Drogo's house is part of a revitalization and repurposing of the county's old jail. In addition to this residence, St. Drogo's house has a coffee roastery / coffee bar as well as an artisanal bakery located on the first floor. Wake up to the smell of freshly baking croissants and espresso! Lowville is in the geographical center of Lewis County. We're a stone's throw from the Adirondacks, the Black River and the Tug Hill. The immediate area is great for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and exploring. Snowmobile right from the door to Lewis County C8 accessing all beautiful trails to anywhere in the state.

You're just 2 miles down the road from Five Ponds Wilderness area, with well over a hundred thousand acres of public land. Also, enjoy the ATV and Snowmobile trails. C8 and C5 trails are almost on your doorstep!

This secluded three-bedroom home, situated right on the atv trail system. Plenty of parking space. Over four acres of private land with an enormous lawn that’s all yours to enjoy! With so many things to do in the area, there is something for everyone! The Adirondack Park border is just a miles up the road. There are many hiking trails and horse riding trails nearby as well. Rivers and Lakes to kayak, canoe, fish or swim in are in abundance here. You can also just relax!

Also less than 8 miles from the airfield gate for anyone looking to visit Ft Drum and roughly 20 mins to Watertown.

The outhouse is in a separate building a few yards from the cabin. The deep well design uses sand and lime. It is clean and neat. Privately situated on 50 acres of pine woods in the Adirondack foothills, it's the perfect place for a family adventure or romantic retreat.
