We very much enjoyed staying in Karen’s historic home and appreciating its history. We also appreciated the sustainable landscape she’s created and the easy walk to downtown GB. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in GB that captures the history of the area.

The location and space were great! I worked remotely during most of my stay and was very comfortable with my set up. The dining table was a perfect desk, with good lighting and wifi! Slept well due to it being so quiet at night. A positive experience overall.

Such a lovely spot! Beautiful, reclaimed farmhouse. Only thing of note is that noise does travel very easily through the home, both from below and throughout the apartment. Other than that, the listing is perfect!

This was my second time at the Washington House. This time we stayed in the suite downstairs. We both loved how clean and well decorated the room was. Kelly pays attention to the small details and we felt right at home. Accessibility is important for us since my partner use crutches for mobility. This room suited our needs perfectly. There were only two small but manageable steps we needed to use to in order to get in. Finding an Air BnB with a room on the first floor is a rarity for us and this place was a gem. Right across the street there is a convenient grocery store and a bar/restaurant. We opted to drive down the street to the Roe Jan Brewery and it did not disappoint! This place is perfect for a quiet weekend or a trip to see a show in Great Barrington. We look forward to returning.

we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful inviting cozy place. On top of the having most any amenities one can think of, the place is situated at a great place to explore Western Massachusetts from. we got all the help we needed to get around during our stay, places to visit, the better places to eat etc. I will definitely recommend my friend to stay there. thank you much Jill and Steve for creating this place.

Had the greatest stay at Mary’s place…it was absolutely perfect for us to walk to where we had wanted to go. We will definitely be back for another visit when we come to Athens! Mary is such a fantastic host, super friendly and helpful and we couldn’t ask for anyone better. Thank you Mary! - Leon

This is a very special property! On a gorgeous lake and feels private with a great view but yet walkable to town. The house is so cozy. We loved our stay and want to come back in the summer!!

We had a relaxing and enjoyable getaway with friends. The house is absolutely beautiful, with amazing views. We really appreciated how well-equipped the kitchen is and we were able to cook many great meals together. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there are some fun toys and books available for kids to play with as well. We would definitely return.

We had a lovely time at this airbnb. It was fun to walk around the neighborhood and feel safe. There were kids everywhere and we were able to walk to the playground easily. The home was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the main bedroom even had black out shades and each room had a sound machine. Yay sleep! It was clean and felt like home. Would return no problem.

We had a wonderful family vacation staying at Stone Hill. The house is absolutely perfect, literally a dream house. The pool and landscaping are beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen has everything you could ever need for cooking big meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the basket with s’mores ingredients and the fire pit. The screened-in porch was the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee and look out at the scenery and pool. The ping-pong table in the basement was fun for the whole family, as well as a great selection of games and cards in the TV room. These came in handy on our 2 rainy days. The owner was super responsive to a few questions we had. It’s the perfect location, only a short drive to Great Barrington and grocery shopping at Guido’s. There’s also a great dog park in GB if you’re traveling with a dog. We hope to come back to Stone Hill many times in the future.

Wonderful host and home. The home has all the things you could ever need. The rental is a very special place to stay. Very responsive hosts and the check out process is very easy for you. I just can’t say enough about how special this home is to stay. They did not spare anything on this home. We will return. It’s amazing.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cottage! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The peaceful location near the lake made for a serene escape, yet we were just a short drive from fantastic local restaurants, wineries, scenic hiking trails, and charming antique shops. Our host was wonderful—extremely accommodating and readily available if we needed anything, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat with plenty to explore nearby, this is the perfect place. We can’t wait to come back!

A group of friends that are expats and transplants to New York spent thanksgiving holiday here. The house was just so beautiful and lived in. It felt like we all “came home”. We cozied up in spacious living rooms, cooked multiple dinners, and played boardgames. It felt so warm and all the details be it cooking utensils, beds, and furniture were so beautiful and yet comfortable. Really appreciate the amount of detail and love the hosts put into this home.
