Waterfront retreat with private dock. Take a break and unwind. This rustic cabin on the HILLSIDE and is nestled in the cove at Claytor Lake. First bedroom has queen bed with a chest of drawers and a smart-tv. 2nd bedroom had a full bed. Living area has a pull out twin size futon. An air mattress is available. Enjoy great fishing, swimming or just grilling out and sitting on the dock. It’s a great getaway for couples or small families, or for Radford graduation or VA Tech games/graduation.

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). Jefferson Lodge @ Claytor Lake (Near VT & Radford)

The Jefferson Lodge on Claytor Lake was previously owned by the Jefferson Mill Company. The lodge was restored in the 90s by the previous owners, who also built an adjoining home next to the lodge.
